Staff were amazing and hotel really nice. If you expect new and polished then you don't know hawaii. Furniture in room is a little dated but this is normal for hawaii. Pool was great. View was great. Highly recommended for families and younger travellers.

Stayed: May 2018, travelled with friends

Nice hotel close to the beach.
Friendly staff. Upgraded when we arrived.
For $99 you can stay in room on last day until you go to airport.
Food good but expensive.
Two pools and gym.

Overall I would recommend.

Decent hotel, good location, poor customer service, terrible parking arrangements and overall overpriced. That pretty much somes it up. If you're in the mood to splurge I suggest looking somewhere else.

We traveled here in early May 2018 for our honeymoon and stayed here before we moved over to Maui for the second week. In retrospect, this may not be the best hotel for honeymooners as it's not a "luxury" resort, but it fit our needs just fine. It's well situated on Waikiki Beach that you can walk to most everything you need. It's on the east side of the beach so you're not directly in the center of the action, but that helps with noise as night. Room service was wonderful and the view of Diamond Head was awesome! Definitely get a DH facing room--pretty special to wake up to everyday. We are Marriott Elite members and therefore took advantage of free breakfast every morning. Thank you to Marian (I think I spelled that right!) who was the friendliest and most attentive table attendant (it's a buffet). Her smile lights up a room and I hope she knows how nice it is to start off a morning with such a sweet person! Overall, wonderful hotel and has everything you can need. Valet was SUPER quick and helped with directions as well!

Room Tip: Get a room facing Diamond Head
