Lovely open spacious hotel, gorgeous parrots in the lobby. Right I. The middle of shopping, good restaurants and across the street from the beach. Rooms were spacious and very clean.
Breakfast was fairly ordinary but the waiting staff were fabulous. Lovely pool area and on site restaurants. We will stay there again next Easter but we would like rooms that are not on the same wall as the lift wells. Too noisy! If your flight arrives early make sure you stow your luggage and then relax by the pool in one of the cabanas. It could take all day for your room to be ready.

Very nicely maintained hotel. Excellent location in Waikiki. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful view of beach and Diamond Head from our room on the 14th floor. Excellent bell services and valet staff.

Stayed at the property for 20 nights while on a business trip. All of the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. Rooms are large by Hawaii standards, and the entire property was very clean and well maintained. Only issue is with the noise from the hallways, and this is a design issue with the hotel and the way the doors are clustered together. Overall, a great stay and I will look forward to my next stay at the Hyatt Waikiki.

Room Tip: Higher floors have less noise and avoid the rooms near the elevators.

We last stayed at this hotel last year in August 2013 for our anniversary/ family vacation. The location is perfect. Right near the beach which is across the street, close to cheaper restaurants. Especially hole in the wall ones for all you bargain hunters. And there are 2 rental car places in the hotel.
Having the rent a cars in the hotel wAs a great perk because we pretty much rented a car in the morning, explored hawaii all day, then we would return it at night. It saved us the $30 parking fee. As we know hawaii can become expensive and saving a little bit of money here and there adds up.

We went during Duke fest which made Waikiki hotels busy with many many people. We were able to stay at the Hyatt for 5 nights partial ocean view. If the price is right, which it usually is, I would stay here again. There are a total of 3 ABC stores located within the hotel. The coffee shop downstairs was a plus. They had one of the best Koko mochas or Koko coffees or pretty much Koko anything.

The elevators were pretty fast and it did not seem to bother us at all. Do try the juice or tea up at the front lobby, it is free and refreshing. The only two things that could be improved are the bathrooms which are dated and the pool which is small. Otherwise everything was great. All the staff, the comfort of the hotel room, and the service you get whenever you call the front desk for anything.

Clean and well set out. Room service had to be reminded daily to replenish soap etc. breakfast fairly ordinary and not a lot of variety. Excellent access to beach, close to shopping. Hard to find mid range restaurants in vicinity
