Highest recommendations for Lewers Lounge located in the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. You'll need to dress up a little because there is a dress code: no beach wear, no open toe shoes, slacks and dress shirt for men and appropriate evening clothes for women. There is live music every night from 8:30pm to 12:30pm. You'll find the duo of husky voiced Maggie Heron on piano and Rocky Holmes on woodwinds most nights. But our favorite was Noly Pa'a on Sunday and Monday nights playing jazz standards, pop tunes, classical music, and requests on the piano.
The atmosphere is elegant without being pretentious. A perfect place to sit , chat, and listen to beautiful music. We found the mixed drinks to be among the best in Waikiki. Try a Pisco Sour or an incredibly alcoholic, but delicious Negroni, or a "James Bond" vodka martini. There are small snack plates including a lobster roll , fish fingers, and beef sliders, but the real attraction is the quality of the mixed drinks.
Sit back and mellow out. It may be the most relaxing and romantic thing you do in Honolulu.
