We'd bought a Groupon $30 for $60 worth of food. We called for a reservation on the same day we planned to go, asking for an early dinner, 5:45pm to ensure we would be able to get in. We were only the 2nd table to be seated that night and the waiters were very attentive. We told them about our Groupon and ordered one sushi izakaya to share. Each dish was delicious and very light on the rice, mostly fish with delicate sauces. When we figured we'd eaten $60 worth, we asked for the check. It turns out we still had enough credit to order one more large, fish-filled roll, which was delicious.
Only one glitch, the computerized cash register was on the blink and it took a long time to get our bill, and they had not defined it as a Groupon or $60 worth of food for $30. If I hadn't caught that mistake, they would have charged us the full $60. I think it was an honest mistake, made while the cashier was distracted trying to fix the register. All was corrected. We would go again, especially with another Groupon.
