Reviewed 25 March 2014

3.5 miles of fun- Get out early and beat your feet on the pavement for an amazing run! Extremly safe and plenty of places to stop and buy some water if you ran out!

“Quiet and Peaceful”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

In the center of a huge city it is hard to believe you can find such peace. We stayed at a time share on the canal. Every morning the rowers were out doing laps. Couples walked by hand in hand, runners pushing strollers, dog walkers, tourists. Constantly .changing, yet still quiet and peaceful. Loved it!

“Nice walk-interesting fish!”
Reviewed 2 September 2013

This was our fourth time in Waikiki, but only our first time walking along the canal. We were surprised to see that there is no fence there. We love the fact that, in Hawaii, you are expected to use your common sense. So, walking along the canal, we were able to look down and see the multitudes of fish swimming in the canal. And they are like dogs and cats--once they saw people, they expected to be FED, and they followed along as we walked. It was very funny.

I am not sure if it is legal to feed the fish--there were signs that said it is illegal to feed the birds, but there was no mention of the fish--but we did see one couple feeding them, and the fish were in a frenzy! It was fun to watch.

This is a very serene area for walking, and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was to walk along the canal.
