Son is stationed here and it was a nice post for families. The post is well maintained and there are lots of young families

I was stationed here over twenty years ago and wow stopping by Schofield brought back so many memories. The base is so laid back you almost forget that you are on an active base. I love seeing the old barracks sitting right next to the new. Stopping by the Tropic Lightning Museum is a must.

think this is under construction. We even tried to call the phone and got an answering machine. We were visiting family on schofield and thought it would be easy to see...We were wrong!

The homes are in a tradtional Hawaiian style. Grounds are well maintained. We visitied someone working here and got to see the facilities and had lunch on the base.

The Museum contains several displays of weaponry and can be viewed in half an hour. The static display of artillery and armor is nice. We were allowed to walk onto the base as civilians but not ride our motorcycles.
