I was travelling around Hawaii for about 12 days and left my gift shopping till the last two days of my stay. I came to these markets, which closer to the Honolulu airport and Pearl Harbour. Bring a cap or umbrella when you come here, its HOT. But there are good bargains, you can get tshirts 5 for $20 and other beautiful island fabric clothing for kids, mumus (long island dresses), jewellery and even fresh fruit. I also bought a beautiful hand made necklace as well out of shells. I wasn't great at bargaining because it was hot, but I am sure you can bargain for things you want. Dont buy things at the ABC store, come here and get them. A lot to choose from. parking onsite too and bus stops close by if you want to use public transport to get here.

gifts, gifts, gifts - if you are a tourist and have to bring things home for friends and family, stop here first before you buy elsewhere at retail stores - YOU WILL SAVE A FORTUNE. true, the swap meet is a bit touristy - but i was a tourist and i found everything i wanted to buy - at much cheaper prices than the stores in town. from aloha shirts and other clothing, to jewelry, to towels to EVERYTHING. do yourself a favor and just spend a few hours here and you will save a bundle of money.

If you are looking to buy gifts and support the true local economy this is the place to shop. I strongly suggest this as a 1-3 hr stop for any visitor coming to Oahu, yes there is some junk and some true local gems.

Shop where the locals shop, be sure you make some time for the Swapmeet.

The Aloah Stadium Swap Meet is a must when ever I visit Oahu. You can find so many things that you would find in the stores for 1/2 the price. They have everything from blankets, jewlery, and purses. All of the vendors there are friendly and most are willing to negotiate for a better price.

Our family enjoyed the shopping. Good selection of local items and other "sale items" as well. We were told (and it seemed true) that the inner row is mostly "garage sale" type merchandise. You have to pay attention--some of the places are really good local art and jewelry and others appear to be "tourist traps".
We also really enjoyed the chance to go in the stadium for photos. This is well worth a 2 hour visit.
