Owner description: Te Moana Nui is a unique Polynesian Dinner show that takes guests on an unforgettable journey throughout the Pacific. Located in the Ainahau Showroom at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, it is just steps away from the many activities Waikiki has to offer. We picked this show based on the reviews. We decided to just do the show and not the dinner. When we arrived we were all given necklaces and drink coupons for our cocktails. The show is in a large banquet room that may not have the atmosphere of an outdoor venue but once the show starts you won't care. It is not crowded and you have a great up close view and no rain or wind. The dancers and musicians were all fantastic and also enjoyed the scenery being played on the screen during performance. Highly recommend this show you won't be disappointed.

Being a business owner in Waikiki, I have had the hardest time recommending a great Luau to visitors. The ones I have experienced first hand were decent but always left me under impressed and a bit ripped off due to the cheesy approach to costuming. Their performers are all super wonderful but the lack of detail and emphasis leave me searching for more.

We visited the Te Moana show at the Pacific Beach Hotel last night in Waikiki being blown away by the show!!
The themed decor of the staging is incredible, the food absolutely top notch and the most authentic delicious local food I have had at a Luau. Then the show begins and immediately I noticed the incredible and rich detail in the themed costuming. It didn't feel like they bought their costumes from Party City like the others. I can't say enough about the fashionably Polynesian designed outfits. Aaaamaazing!!!

This show created so much mood, passion and creativity I was lost in the Polynesia of the past. But ultimately the New Zealand chapter will leave you speechless. Plus the women dancers are incredibly classy and beautiful!! Desert was awesome too but almost didn't need it due to being so wonderfully distracted by the show.

Now I know where to recommend the best Luau on the Island. It might not be outdoors but it's NOT an hour and a half your bus drive out to the desert part of the island next to a smelly dump if the winds blow the wrong direction. That part isn't usually advertised to tourists and their stuck for a long round trip if you know what I mean. 2nd runner up would still be the Polynesian Cultural Center, they put on a good show but Te Moana Nui show still beats it by a long shot in my opinion.

The highlight of the show was clearly the fire act which was exceptional. The dancing was very good as was the live band. A nice touch was the opportunity to meet the cast at the end of the show and take pictures with them.

The schedule was 5:30-6:30 reception, one complimentary drink, live music and some activities (have your flower bracelet made, temporary tattoo and Hawaiian stamp card). They take a picture of you with the performers at the start which you have the option to purchase for $20 at the end of the show.

6:30-7:30 buffet dinner. Loads of options. Any attempt to try them all will leave you feeling stuffed.

7:30-8:30 show. Featuring music and dance from the various pacific islands and the aforementioned brilliant fire show.

Definitely worth a visit. Cons-only one complementary drink, subsequent drinks you have to pay additionally for (including sodas!).

We went to this indoor luau on our last night in Waikiki. The food was good, better than the usual luau, and we ended up about 15 ft from the stage. The performance was outstanding, and the musicians especially we're incredible. Highly recommended.

This is a well run luau with great food and show right in the middle of Waikiki. Check in and table assignment was very quick and easy. Waiting for you at the table are light snacks (pineapple, soy beans, and banana bread) and a small mai tai. While you wait, there's already entertainment in front of you and crafts along the edge of the ballroom. Then at the appointed time, each table gets up to the buffet (great food and plenty of it). Then the show begins; good story line, great dancers, musicians, and singers. And lets not forget dessert. Wow.
