This was out 5th stay . Yes the rooms are small, but you can't beat the location, view, friendly and helpful service by both Front Desk and Houskeeping staff. Stayed 15 nights and enjoyed them all. The room renovations are great and the imminent opening of Eggs n Things out front will be an added bonus - particualrly if the hotel can make some arrangements for Hotel guests to avoid the typical Eggs n Things breakfast wait at their other establishment. Looking forward to our next stay.

Room Tip: the Ocean view premium is worth it

My husband & I were there 11/12-11/19. Hotel staff was extremely friendly & helpful. (Special Hello and Mahalo to Barb & Guy for all they did!!) We stayed in oceanfront room 905 & could not have asked for any better value or view from our balcony. It was so beautiful that we immediately dropped our bags and ran to take in the view!! We suggest you take a pair of binoculars - due to the unobstructed view, you can see for miles. Our room was more spacious since Guy was able to get us in one with only a queen size bed & the vanity was separate from the bathroom making the bathroom more spacious. Room was very clean & once the restaurant opens by the end of Dec it will make it even nicer. Some reviews stated it was noisy, but the hotel itself was fairly quiet. As for the traffic noise - yes, if you get an Oceanfront or Oceanview you will have traffic noise since the road is in front of the hotel, but that should be expected. The traffic noise did not bother us - we felt the tradeoff of being able to hear the beautiful sounds of the ocean was well worth it. We cannot wait to return & have recommended the Circle to all I work with. A huge "Mahalo" for making our first trip to Hawaii beyond description!

Room Tip: Request a high oceanfront & if possible try for room with queen bed.

When we first walked into the hotel they seemed to have some renovations going on so we were a bit put off but once we got to the room we were quite happy . We were upgraded from an ocean view to an ocean front which was wonderful . We loved how clean the room was and the location was great . Just had to cross the road to get in the ocean . Shops and restaturants all around .
The staff could have been a little friendlir but the view made up for everything .

Aloha,

My wife and I spent five nights in the Waikiki Circle in November 2011. I must admit that when we walked into the room it seemed small but it was something I came to accept as the location of the hotel is terrific. The Circle is on Kalakaua Avenue directly across the street from Kuhio Beach Park where we would sit to drink our morning coffee and watch the surfers start their day. Our room was on the 12th floor facing the Pacific. The balcony allowed us a very nice spot to watch the activity on the Kalakaua after we had come in for the evening.

The pricing for an oceanfront room, which was literally a stones throw from the beach, was amazing. The hotel has been renovated recently, it is immaculately clean and there are many conveniences at your door step. I do warn those who fall into the oversize category that you will likely not be comfortable at the Circle.

Just spent a week there. Had an ocean view, not ocean front room. Rooms are small, especially by modern North American standard, however they are very nicely updated, and spotlessly clean. Beds were small but very comfortable with nice bedding. The beds were high enough off the ground to store suitcases underneath. Flat screen, bar fridge, big balcony, and free coffee and beach towels. The only negative is that the ABC store next door has a very loud a/c unit on the roof. Higher floors are better shielded from that noise.

The location is ideal. Check in took only a few minutes, as did check out. My wife and I would definitely return. We were sad checking out yesterday as we had a perfect week long vacation.

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, only the view varies. The better the view, the more you spend. The rooms on the Diamond Head side, and forward are a little quieter because of a loud a/c unit on a neighbouring building's roof.
