We stayed here 5 days & had also stayed here in 2008 ... Checking in was efficient we didn't have to wait until 2pm, the rooms are clean, housekeeping great, right across the road from Waikaii beach & close to all transport & shops ... Eggs & things are at the entrance & the food there is great however you have to be early as there is lineup is long.

Room Tip: If you can afford it ... Get a ocean view ... It's not noisy as your high up & views are bri...

We recently stayed at this hotel and were very happy with our room.I was a bit dubious at first going on reviews but as our time got closer it was decided that we would only sleep there. We had a partial ocean view and felt it quite adequate. Yes the bathroom was a bit small we had no complaints. Room was serviced every day.and the management and staff very helpful. Across the road is Waikiki beach. My daughter stayed in oceanfront and that was spectacular views.

Perfect location on the beach with beautiful views from the ocean front rooms. I have stayed here on two separate trips to Honolulu and will return to this hotel again. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the hotel is central. No pool at this hotel but why would you want to use a pool when you are literally steps from the beach. In my opinion, you can't beat the view for the price. Thanks for another great stay, Aston Waikiki!

Room Tip: The ocean front rooms are worth the extra cost. I highly recommend booking an ocean front room. Note...

Lets face it, you are staying here for the view, which is very hard to beat if you pay the extra for an Ocean Front room. In my opinion the best view rooms are those that end numbered "04" and the higher you get all the better, i.e. 104 is at the bottom and very noisy and there are 14 floors all up, if you can get above the 10th floor it should get a lot quieter. That said, the air conditioners are very old and noisy themselves. It looks like the hotel has had a mini makeover to freshen it up and the rooms are bright and cheerful, but they are very small and all have 2 double beds, no other combination. Personally I would hate to have more than 2 people in one of these rooms, even if you can sleep with 2 small children, what do you do with them once you get out of bed. We had trouble finding somewhere to place our suitcases for 2 people, let alone 4. The location is excellent, smack in the middle of Waikiki shops and right opposite the beach. Lots of options for dinner nearby and excellent for watching the sunset from your balcony. You can see some of the nightly entertainment from your room and the bus stop is very close by too. I thought the NON OPTIONAL AMENITY FREE of $15.71 per night a total rip off, they bundle a bunch of stuff you don't want and make you pay for it daily. If it is not optional it should just be included in the Room Tariff. The bundle included WiFi, DVD's, In room Safe, Local Calls, In room Tea/Coffee, and a daily Newspaper, stuff most hotels include anyhow, and who wants a daily newspaper? Reception staff not really interested, but the gentleman at the Tour Desk was excellent, a big thank you to him for his efforts. My favourite was the Maid for room service, who monitors how much shampoo and soap you are using and will not leave any more until she deems you cannot get another day of use out of opened stuff, was very worried on last day, wasn't sure I had enough soap for shower before my flight! That being said I would still stay here again, just for the views!

Room Tip: Go for the rooms on the higher floors and those ending in 04 have the best views.

Such a lovely hotel, pleasant staff, clean rooms, located directly across from Waikiki Beach. Clean towels and bed made daily. Newspaper delivered to the door daily. Loved our stay. The restaurant downstairs always had a long line of customers waiting, so we never got to try it. McDonalds is next door, quick and easy breakfast there. Sunday night there was a hula show on the beach, lovely to watch. Plenty of activities on the beach.

Room Tip: we had a room at the side but because of the high winds, we couldn't use the patio. Not sure if...

You can't go wrong staying here. Like most other reviews said; the check in desk is in the open, the rooms are small, and it can get noisy. However, if you do your research ahead of time, you are aware of all of this. The check in desk was safe. If you are out exploring Oahu, then who cares how small the room is. The noise isn't as bad as some people make it seem.

We chose an oceanfront room and the view couldn't be beat. Laying in bed staring at the ocean from the room was amazing! If you want to pay twice as much to be on the 45th floor of some resort, then go ahead and do it, but with this hotel anything above the 8th floor your view will be amazing.

Beds were definitely soft, but comfortable overall. Bathrooms are small, but offer the basic amenities; toilet, shower, etc. Decor looked to be updated recently and the room smelled fine. The balconies don't really offer much privacy. The room offers a safe, work desk, closet with sufficient storage, taking into account the size of the room. The staff was friendly and the housekeeping always had our room ready early. Best part of the hotel was the location; it can not be beat!

The breakfast spot on the ground floor was non-stop busy. A lot of complaints about not having a pool. My response = you're in Hawaii! Waikiki is right across the street, who needs a pool?!?!
