“Excellent 'budget' Waikiki hotel”
Reviewed 17 January 2014

OK, so its older ( as are most of the hotels on the strip), smaller, fewer amenities ( namely no pool) and looks like a pineapple BUT it has everything ( well almost) you'll need for a holiday to Hawaii.
As there were 5 of us we needed two rooms. Both 'partial' ocean view on 7th ( of 14 I think) floors. It looks kind of cute against all the neighbouring behemoths. Rooms are small but functional and all have balconies. Have been 'recently' renovated ( I'd guess within 5 years).
The staff ( front of house and housekeeping) were excellent. The location is superb.
Downsides: no restaurant ( although no shortage of local options), maybe a little tight on parking, no pool/gym ( but theres the Pacific across the road and a gym 20m away), and its pretty noisy around there.Oh, I found the beds a bit soft, and I was a bit put off by the mattress cover ( which was industrial, but I suppose its a 'honeymoon' destination...you get the idea).
We thought for the price range it was great. We didnt care about the $15 ( now$18) 'ammenity' fee as you'd normally pay for internet, movies, newspaper anyhoo.

Room Tip: The higher the better, ocean view better than the "Rear Window' rooms at the back

we stayed here for 4 days but were out most of the time. beds are plastic wrapped and small. the resort fee and the parking add 30$ per night to your bill. central location in Waikiki area. clean. if you are going to explore the island and just want a clean place to stay at nights then I strongly recommend this one price wise!

Stayed at the Aston Waikiki Circle January 9th and 10th 2014
Everything was perfect. Clean and quiet ( city view side).
What really made it was the check out with Naomi
Even though it was extremely busy she was very accommodating patient and organized

We stayed here for 8 nights and knew what we was getting into. It's a small hotel but views are very good. We had a partial ocean view. Rooms small bathroom smaller but very clean and very friendly staff. We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location as well.

Room Tip: Upgrade to ocean front! higher the better

My mom and I stayed here for two nights prior to our Hawaiian cruise and the night following our cruise. The rooms are quite small due to the shape of the building and it is not inexpensive, but they are absolutely spotless and the location could not be more perfect! It is directly across from the beach! The staff (Jan and Naomi) were so helpful and friendly! We would have eaten at the restaurant downstairs, but the line was always around the block, so we walked down to Jimmy Buffets for a nice breakfast buffet for $14. The walk from the hotel to Diamond Head is about 2.5 miles, shopping is plentiful, and well, the beach......oh, the beach.

Loved our stay here! We were offered an upgrade for an extra $20 per night and were not disappointed. Full ocean views with a balcony to enjoy the amazing views which I would argue are the best in Waikiki! Rooms are a little small as is bathroom, but hey, who come to Waikiki to spend time watching tv and showering in their rooms?! If that's you, don't come! Right across the road from the beach and everything else you need. We even started buying champagne and watching the glorious sunset from the uninterrupted views of our balcony. Beats the crowds at the expensive resorts that are paying five times the price for the same thing as this hotel! Check in was a breeze and staff were fantastic. Will stay here again and highly recommend.

This place is much smaller than what appears in pictures. The bathroom is minuscule. I wouldn't recommend it for more than one night. The beds weren't very comfortable but not horrible either. Good location and clean. Staff was nice. I would probably stay elsewhere next time, particularly at $250/nt incl taxes (peak season).
