We were in a deluxe city view room on the 4th floor that was spacious with a king size bed, couch, and a small balcony overlooking the very busy Kuhio St. The negatives of the room were the extremely small bathroom and the street noise. The complementary breakfast was OK and typical of many chain hotels such as Holiday Inn Express or Marriott Fairfield Inns. The coffee is Starbucks and outstanding. If you don't think the breakfast is adequate they will not MAKE you eat it and you are free to go anywhere else. The breakfast crew does a nice job handling the morning crowd. The pigeons in the breakfast area are not as bad as I was led to believe by other reviews. It is not exactly a scene from Alfred Hitchcock's
Movie "The Birds". However don't leave your food unattended for very long. It is a short walk to the beach and many restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. One piece of advice is to let the hotel get your cab to the airport for $29 and save some money. Overall it was a nice stay.

Aloha Tom M,
Mahalo for taking the time to share your feedback with us! We are glad that you enjoyed our Deluxe City View guest room and private lanai. It seems the external street noise caused you some disruption, but glad this did not diminish your overall impression of us. We are glad the Starbucks coffee exceeded your expectations! It would be a pleasure to welcome you back again soon.

We had an enforced stop over due to flying Hawaiian Airlines from San Diego to NZ, and after much searching chose here, and am so glad we did.

The hotel is stunning! The rooms are clean and well laid out, the beds were really comfy, and the shower powerful, even on the 11th floor.

Breakfast is fruit, cereal, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, cooked items, and ramen - everything catered for! The coffee is also good and strong, and they have take out cups so you can grab your coffee and go.

En route, we saw some of the other hotels I had looked at, and am SO glad we chose the Hyatt Place! This is also easy walking distance to the quieter end of the beach - so you can actually walk along the pavement without being hassled by people trying to get you to have your nails done or shoot firearms. The beach was also quieter - a real no brainer to swim there!

The staff are all lovely. Davi - who checked us in - was particularly helpful, and gave us a good recommendation for dinner too!

Overall a fantastic night's stay. Will certainly stay here again if there is a next time!

Loved this Hotel!

I had researched lots of Waikiki hotels for the perfect holiday. We were travelling with 3 teenagers/young adults. We stayed for 10 days over Xmas. Hyatt Park fulfilled my requirements which included large rooms (opt for Deluxe Queen with cozy corner), free wi-fi, free breakfast, ocean views, no resort fee, car parking, within easy walking distance to beach and shops, welcoming staff etc. The Deluxe Queen room was large (50sqm) and adequate for 4 people. We also booked the Deluxe King next door which was perfect also.

We arrived early (8am) after a long flight. Our room was immediately available and we were offered breakfast also. I had asked for a room in the Diamond a Tower, highest floor with ocean views and the room was perfect. A huge thanks to Monique who assisted me via email prior to arrival.

The Hyatt is recently newly renovated. Staff are excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Free breakfast was a bonus and we sometimes used the trays provided and took it back to the room. I had read the lifts were slow but as we were in the Diamond Tower we never had to wait more than a minute. The room on Floor 14 was very quiet, really comfy beds, excellent wifi, TV and amenities. We never noticed any undue noise from the street. The hotel is at the Diamond Head end of Waikiki and only minutes from the shops. We enjoyed the nightly walks up and down the strip each evening. We rented a car and were lucky to get a car park for our stay. Pool was small but as the location to the beach was only a short 5 min walk it was not important. The gym and laundry facilities were adequate for our needs. We ate out each evening and never had to walk more than 10-15 mins to a restaurant. The majority of good shops and restaurants are about a 10minute walk which is great for exercise after a meal!

We booked a couple of tours through hotel, thank you Chris (Expedia) who organised the Xmas Day helicopter flight at short notice even after being told there was nothing available. Great location for tour pickups right at the front door and on the bus routes. The hotel happily organised a late checkout and a convenience room to use later in the day as we had a midnight flight. Perfect!!

Overall if you require a smaller, boutique, friendlier, newer hotel I would highly recommend this hotel. This is not really a hotel for small children (ie kids clubs, resort activities) or if you plan to spend endless hours at the hotel. It is however perfect for couples, older families or business travellers who require comfort with no hassles or intend to be out exploring each day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and would not hesitate in staying here again.

Room Tip: Diamond Head Tower on a high floor is best as they have more lifts for fewer rooms. Opt for Deluxe...

Stayed at Hyatt place for ten days in November. The checkin was painless and welcoming staff. We checked in late and had inform the hotel about our late flight.

After checkin there seems to be minimal staff to help load in trolley so I did it myself with a half asleep child and a hubby who tries to find parking.

As I cart the 4 luggage that we have I didn't realize that there's two wing and ended up in the wrong one. All the way to the high floor I called reception and they told me that my room was the other building. Was not excited to roll this cartful of luggage and push. I passed thru the reception and 2 staff saw me and didn't even acknowledged to help. :( finally I got to our room

It was small than what I'm used to and we requested a King size bed. With a sofa three feet away from the bed so there's much room to really. The balcony has ample space and a partial of
Of Waikiki beach.
Cleanliness of the room I question. Few times I had to pick up a piece of paper or a crumb from the night before. And I don't think they
Vacuum the rooms on a daily basis. That really erks me because we are on the beach all day and sand is bound to collect so not happy about the carpet how it's not being cleaned.

The daily breakfast was plenty and busy but you can always find a seat. Just make sure you don't leave your food unattended . This was a daily morning entertainment when people don't realize those birds are so notorious! They want your food! The cleaning staff and kitchen crew for breakfast are pleasant :)

The cafe by the reception tho was a different story. We had a late snack night and a waiter seemed like he didn't wanna be there a simple mushroom soup order and milk for the lil guy. Waiter didn't make eye contact and just not engaging. So we never went back and decided to not eat there anytime :(

Really nothing of a WOW factor just a stay :)

We loved the location of the hotel, of course we don't mind walking that is major part of any vacation experience. It was about 2-3 short blocks to the beach and a block from the ABC store. We didn't have any problem with noise but we didn't face he street. The staff was very accommodating and we set up many of our expeditions with Expedia expert near the lobby. Most tour companies would pick you up at the curb or on the other side of the street. We made leis down in the lobby which was a wonderful experience and it felt like genuinely Hawaiian experience, many other people joined in with us after they saw how much fun we were having. The young man down at the bar named Nick was very friendly and explained to us how to get to several locations we asked about. The rooms were nice and more than what I expected when room is a commodity there. The free breakfast gave plenty of options and of course the pineapple was out of this world I ate it everyday we were there and have tried it since hoping to have such a beatific reminder of our time there, with no luck. We stayed in November 2013 for 8 nights. Since leaving I thought about nothing but returning to Hawaii and I would stay at Hyatt Place. I recommended this hotel to friends that were going the following month and they stayed there a week as well. Thank you for your hospitality and we ( my boyfriend, aunt and mom) will be back as soon as possible!!!

Green Features: It was nice that they gave you to option to reuse your towels or get cleans ones daily most hotels just scoop them all up and replace them even when they have. It been used.

My husband and I stayed there 7 nights and were very happy with the overall experience. The rooms are very small, but the shower is huge and the bed was big and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and kind, rooms were clean and fresh, location was fantastic. Your only a couple of blocks from the beach and tons of restaurants and entertainment. Breakfast was AMAZING. Plenty of protein and fresh fruits to start the day healthy, or waffles and pastries if your wanting a treat. Be sure to bring your own bottled water though, they charge $3 for the ones stocked in the mini fridge.
I left my very nice, expensive jacket in the closet, and only noticed when we arrived back home. When I called, they had found it and were happy to mail it back to me promptly, Very impressed. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Rooms on the North side don't have a good view.
