Fantastic authentic Hawaiian feeling in a quiet but convenient setting. We were greeted within minutes of arriving with beautiful fresh orchid leis, and the hawaiian hospitality remained for the rest of our visit. Easy walking distance to the bustling Waikiki strip, and also a manageable walk to the Honolulu Zoo and Ala Moana shopping centre. The beach at this end of Waikiki also feels more private than other sections of Waikiki. All in all a perfect spot for anyone wishing to enjoy the pleasures of Waikiki.

The rooms have a great view of the beach and city. Restaurants all have wonderful atmosphere with two of them perfect for open air meals with ocean views. Staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. We ate most of our meals on the premises. Breakfast buffet had tons of choices including fresh local fruit and was always a bountiful selection. Fresh food was constantly refilled. If you want to listen to Hawaiin music you can go to the Ka Pila grill or stay in a room in the pacific tower and sit on the balcony and listen. We have no complaints or suggestions. It was a perfect vacation!!!

This was a great hotel and I would definitely stay here again.
Everything you might need is on site including Enterprise car rental.
If you're booked in at the hotel you can save up to 25% on your car rental.
The onsite restaurants, entertainment and pool is are all excellent. From fine dinning to relax pub alongside the beach and pool there's a place for every mood.

I had booked the city view room expecting to have a bad view and a smallish room but the room was quite large and we were conveniently located just up the stairs from the pool and main lobby.

The only negative aspect of this place is the activities centre where you can book tours through your hotel. The service people are very pushy and it's high pressure sales if you are even inquiring for interests sake. We had asked how much one tour was and what it included. She wanted us to book right then and there. What they don't tell you until it is too late is that after you book there is no refund if you want to cancel. I would recommend booking tours at a better price at Viator.com or directly with the tour companies.

Room Tip: There are two towers with two separate elevators. Try to stay in the tower nearest to the beach for better views.

Had a fabulous six night stay at Outrigger Reef on the Beach. The location is excellent, with high end shops and great restaurants all around and a short trolley ride to Ala Moana shopping centre. We booked a city view suite but we where upgraded upon arrival to partial ocean view, with a view overlooking the ocean and the pool. The suite was huge with a large separate bedroom and a lounge and dinning area. The pool bar restaurant was great value for money and we really enjoyed the nightly live Hawaiian music. The service from the staff at the hotel was excellent, Ben at the pool bar deserves a mention for his service and shopping tips!!

We also renewed our wedding vows at the vow renewal service at their sister property, Outrigger on the Beach. The service was beautifully done and very moving, thank you to all involved in making it such a memorable occasion. Our daughter took a ukulele lesson with Wally at this hotel as well and had a ball singing and playing the ukulele in the hotel lobby.

All in all a great place to stay in Waikiki.

This was our 2nd year at the Reef and we love it, has something for the whole family. Great Restaurants, bars and pool and activities for the kids.
Our room was over looking the pool and perfect for us, the housekeeping ladies were lovely and always cleaned our room to perfection which is hard with 2 kids.
Love that there is a Starbucks downstairs for our morning coffee fix.
The head Porter John is fantastic and always very helps - highly recommend asking him if you want to know anything, he has worked there a long time.
