Clean rooms, Friendly staff, and a Great location. The staff was wonderful here. Our flight arrived around 10am and the staff in the lobby were great! They helped us with our bags and called for us to be picked up to go to Pearl Harbor with big smiles on their faces! The girls behind the desk also helped us in picking a place to eat for the night. A great place to spend a few days!

We have stayed at the Queen more than 20 times. The current owner has continually made improvements. The staff is like our family, and make us feel so welcome. The only negative item is the convenience store in the lobby; The man and woman who are there do not make us feel welcome and this has happened every year. We are not the only guests that have experienced this. The Queen has met all our expectations . Mahalo for the great experience.

Aloha! Thank you for sharing your recent stay with us and we truly appreciate your comments. It was wonderful for you to recognize that the current owner have continually made improvements. that the staff is like family and make you feel so welcome.

In regards to the convenience store in the Lobby, which is a concession, we will definitely let them know that they need to welcome our guest, for we are dependant on Tourism to keep our State healthy.

Again, thank you, and it was heart warming to hear that Queen Kapiolani Hotel met all of your expectations.

2nd trip and it was even better than the first.

We stayed at Queen Kapiolani for 14 nights in peak season. Despite being a busy time of the year, all facilities were maintained and easy to access, our room was always clean and staff always made themselves available when required. Swimming pool was always clean and never crowded, also a fantastic view.
There was fun nightly entertainment at the bar and eating area next to pool, it felt like a private show with singers and acrobats comedians and musicians all in one hotel.
Perfect location if you want to be slightly away from the street crowds but still close to everything you need may need. Cross the road and you're at Honolulu Zoo, walk another 5-6 mins and you will find the Waikiki Aquarium, another 30-40 mins and you will reach the entrance to Diamond Head Crater (25-40mins if you wanna make it to the top).
Over all the property was neat, clean a tidy, everything worked, pricing was more than reasonable. The staff made us feel welcome and like family after 2 week. They helped with any general enquires about the island, and if they didn’t know something they found out for us instead of just saying “I don’t know sir”
Special thanks to front desk manager, Rob McPeek , Jocelyn, Brent and most importantly King Dustin who made sure we knew all the best places to eat and was always there to greet us after a night out, we always tried to make it back to the hotel before 11pm so we could say hi and have a laugh.
Thanks Rob, you and your staff were the highlight of our trip. See you all again in the near future.

It was wonderful to hear that all of the facilities you accessed were maintained and clean. That you found that the staff made themselves available when required and that they were the highlight of the trip. Swimming pool was always clean with a fantastic view.

Like many of our other guest, we agree that we have a perfect location, slightly away from the street crowds, but right across the street from Honolulu Zoo, beautiful Kapiolani Park and iconic Diamond Head in the background...what a view.

We had a minor problem with ocean view room - but manager quickly improvised-

In general the room had a great view --- ocean- and Diamond Head- and the zoo.
All employees were friendly and attentive
Would I stay here again? Absolutely
Again, this is the perfect location for shops, restaurants park and the beach -
Hawaiian public transportation is the best - and the cost is only 2.50

Aloha! Thank you for sharing your recent stay with us and we truly appreciate your comments. Like you and many of our guest, we feel that it is truly a great location. Just minutes away from world famous Wakiki Beach and the numerous shops and restaurants.
Right across the street from Honolulu Zoo and beautiful Kapiolani Park with iconic Diamond
Head in the background.

It was wonderful to hear that enjoyed the amenities of the room, such as the large 42" flat screen TV, coffee maker and A/C. That you would stay with us when you come back to Hawaii.

We spent two nights here in October 2013. After reading reviews about how small the standard rooms were, we booked a Diamond Head view w/balcony and requested a remodeled room. On check-in, it was obviously not touched in years - avocado green/harvest gold carpet, chipped bathroom fixtures, worn furniture. When I called the front desk to request a remodeled room they told me it had been remodeled just last year - ! Unfortunately the AC would not cool the room down nearly enough to open the drapes and enjoy the view we paid extra for. Maintanence came and said it worked fine - it did not. I had to call 3 times to get a tub stopper. When I went to make coffee, the grounds were still there from the previous occupant and one of the styrofoam cups had grounds in it.

It did have a nice big TV and they have resolved the wifi issue not reaching the upper floors - we were on 15. The king bed was fine. And the location was great - close to the beach and away from the worst of the Waikiki congestion, just across from a lovely park and the zoo.

Aloha! Thank you for sharing your recent stay at the Queen Kapiolani Hotel, and we certainly do appreciate your comments. We truly apologize that the room did not live up to your expectations and the items you mentioned are being addressed.

The vanity and bathtub are being refinished with replacement of the vanity lights to improve the overall bathroom experience. In regards to the A/C, we are planning to change out the window units to split systems, which are more efficient and quiet and reduce our electrical
consumption. The grounds in the coffee maker and cup is totally unacceptable and we have met with the Executive Housekeeper, who will be working with his Housekeeping Staff.

It was wonderful to hear that you liked the nice, big TV, king bed, and that you had no problems with WIFI on the upper floors. We do agree with you that the location is great - minutes from world famous Waikiki Beach, but away from the worst of the Waikiki congestion, just across from beautiful Kapiolani Park and Honolulu Zoo.

Again, please accept our most humble apology and if I can be of assistance during your next visit, please do not hesitate to give me a call.
