We stayed here for a week for my cousin's wedding in town. This hotel was great! The hotel is located in a central location to many shops, restaurants, and Waikiki Beach. The beds were very comfortable and the food was delicious. There was always plenty of seating at the pool and an added bonus was having staff offer cool towels and ice pops while glistening in the sun! Great nightly entertainment while sipping on Chi Chi tropical drinks were fantastic! Can't wait to come back!

I reserved a "partial ocean" view, which turned out to be very partial - a small view between buildings. We were on the construction side of the tower; the trucks another reviewer heard at 5:00a are actually the garbage trucks in the area - the construction workers start around 7:00a. We choose this hotel for its location and we weren't disappointed. A word of caution - the hotel, like much of Waikiki, is busy much of the night. We heard yelling from some of the surrounding balconies and someone mistook our room for theirs during the night as they tried to enter through our door. It is pricey considering the condition of the hotel, but location was the overriding factor for us. The bed was awesome!

I always read reviews before staying somewhere and this place did have a few knockers but for the deal we got on Wotif we thought we would give it a go and take some tips that were passed on by other Trippos . Get a high ocean view room facing towards Diamond head and you cant go wrong . Awesome views , the rooms were in good condition and the beds were super comfy. Sure the hotel is being updated but this is really not a problem unless you are a bit stuck up. Everything is close , beaches , shops , drinking holes and the staff were great . Spent 10 days here and loved every minute of it.

Room Tip: Ocean View facing Diamond Head

The hotel is under going a facelift. The lobby and banquet areas are under construction now. Hopefully, the rooms are to follow with fresh paint and updated bathrooms. The beds are still the best for a good night's sleep when you are traveling. The staff continues to excel at customer service. I had a light dinner at the pool bar and was surprised by how good it was. The only problem is they offer no valet parking. You must park yourself and beware that the garage has no elevator/escalator - stairs only. This can be difficult with luggage and a brief case. Looking forward to when the property is done with the renovation.

Had plans to be torn down and rebuilt. Instead, repainted lobby and put new furniture in lobby area. It's like putting lipstick on a pig! Some rooms are like a closet, furniture is as old as the hills!

Altho the room was a bit small it was nice. Parking was FREE, which made our stay pleasant. Tge staff was friendly n helpful. The terrace restaurants' food (breakfast) was delectable. I especially liked that kings alley was right across from us, so we could shop. Made new friend at the ice cream shop of kins alley (village now). Good hotel for overniters.

Room Tip: A room is for sleeping in. So it shouldn't matter. But i'd choose one closer to elevator.

Our first trip to Honolulu so wasn't sure what to expect. The location of the hotel is good, we enjoyed a inter-connecting room with two doubles and one king, the rooms are large, clean but tired as well, an ocean view room partially not there as a good part of the view is blocked by the buildings across the road. The pool area is nice. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. We found some staff excellent whilst others just trying to get the job done. The morning paper was a treat and the gym was a big hit.
