The Sheraton was a great choice for our stay in Waikiki. The infinity pool was just lovely, and they throw in bean bag seats for people to use. The prime seats are reserved for premium visitors, so if you want a good seat get there early. Location was brilliant, right where you want to be in terms of shopping and the beach. The restaurants/bars in the hotel were a little pricey; I would go out for meals. We stayed here for 3 nights but I would recommend staying for longer!

I decided to have a staycation for the weekend and spent both days at the infinity pool. I had an amazing time and the experience was beyond my expectation. Larry and Logan were very helpful and even offered to take pictures of me and friends. They constantly checked up on us and suggested places to eat in the hotel. We tried the burgers, garlic shrimp, and Hapa Pizza.

This is a big 1970's style hotel. By the standards of resorts in Asia the pools are tiny (but the biggest we saw on the beachfront), the rooms small (but clean and comfortable), and its crowded - particularly with Japanese wedding parties.
However if you have come to Waikiki probably three things count - being right on the beach, a central location and being walking distance to shopping and restaurants and finally the fantastic view. This hotel delivers on all three - though the last one you have to pay extra for.
We paid that extra for a club room and thought the additional cost was well worth it. Not only did we have a great view towards Diamond Head from our room but the Club Lounge was large, comfortable and had outstanding vistas. The continental breakfast and evening snacks and complimentary drinks rounded out the package.
Service was OK - there could have been more diligence freeing up sun lounges where people left towels and disappeared for the day - a very annoying practice that made it difficult to find somewhere to sit around the pool sometimes.

This is our first time at Hawaii and loving every minute of it. The Sheraton is amazing, the views and the infinity pool are breathtaking and u can just sit in the water all day long. The staff are also so helpful and accommodating. Filippo was so helpful and fantastic to us, definitely no complaints about this hotel and we will be back.

Room Tip: Ocean view is worth every cent

This hotel focuses on its amenities and location to shopping and the beach. It is very, very busy. As a platinum SPG member I can say with confidence this is mid-range in my Sheraton experiences. My main complaint is that the rooms are moderate, while the $ is spent on ensuring a great lobby and other amenities. Great for its shopping location and beach access. Staff are friendly, but training is clearly lopsided. Different policy interpretations depending on whom you ask. Three days max is all that's needed. Oh, and don't rent more than one room. While it means extra $ for the hotel, they punish platinum guests with a $50 per day surcharge to access the lounge. Seems a contradiction to reasonable people.
