Good local food, prepared in their own kitchen. Leave room for deserts; they make their own and they are great. We usually take a box with at least one of each.

We visit this "restaurant" in the afternoon for a cold beer after a day travelling from Natchez to Vicksburg. Very friendly staff and quite some beers on Draft. Good place to finish a day.

Would never have found this without TA, and it was a great find and a big surprise. More like an east coast, big city hip neighborhood bar, with mutiple local draught brews on tap and creative food at a very affordable price. Came here because it was the only place open on a Monday night, but would come back any and every night. The local "home brewers" club was meeting in the back room when we visited, so this place in genuine. High quality art on-loan adorns one room.

I am in Vicksburg on a work assignment. I've been driving past Martins going to and from work and kept thinking "need to give it a try". As it happens I am also into craft beer. I wasn't having any luck here in Vicksburg and then went on a full search on the internet only to find that I'd been driving by it, Martins, pretty much every day. I received a warm welcome and had good conversation with owners Lisa and John, and the folks behind the bar Gary and Nicole. Gary apparently had a high level of involvement in legislative changes allowing craft beer to be sold in Mississippi. Consequently I had a chance to sample some great craft beer, including Gary's favorite Stout. Food was very good, particularly the tomato bisque. But the friendly folks make it happen. Looking to get back there before I leave town.

Many places in Vicksburg were closed on Monday night. Martins-Midtown is not. It is a family owned and operated place with amazing variety on their menu, very healthy pours from their wine by the glass menu and a great selection of beers both draft and bottle. I had the South African Bobotie beef, and Kathy had the Chipotle chicken. We ate on the outside deck under a big pecan tree. A beautiful evening.
Our waitress was one of the owners--a very delightful woman who, of course, knew the menu and made good recommendations. This is a smoke free restaurant with specials on several nights during the week. The owner said the Seafood specials on Friday night were very popular, but we can't vouch for that.
