On a recent college visit we were lucky enough to stay at the Fat Duck while visiting the local college, Whitman. Prior to our arrival Richard the manager was very kind and checked in over a series of phone calls. The Inn is lovey, and very comfortable. It was nice that it did not have that hoovering inn keeper approach. We were able to just treat the Inn as a home away from home, with tons of extras; Richard gave us rides to and from our college visit, breakfast was prepared and laid out in the kitchen, and the dinner - it was over the top wonderful. The food and the company were equally enjoyed.
Selfishly I am hoping my daughter picks and is accepted at the college so that we can enjoy many more trips with a stay at the Fat Duck.
Thank you Richard and the entire team at the Fat Duck - we really enjoyed our stay,
Tess & Jess

Room Tip: We stayed in the king suite as we needed two beds. It was wonderful.

We had a great time this weekend staying at the Fat Duck Inn. We were there to celebrate our friends 50th birthday. Richard was a great host and made us feel welcome from the second we arrived to when we left. The food was wonderful for breakfast - what a great spread of fruit, pastires and of course the wonderful bread pudding!!! Thanks Richard and the Fat Duck for a very fun weekend in sunny Walla Walla.

Room Tip: Highly recommended - we will stay there again next time in Walla Walla. Downstairs room is great for larger groups - tons of extra space.

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about my stay. This was my first time staying at a B&B. I was in Walla Walla for work and it was extremely nice to come back to the great place and people of the Fat Duck Inn. Alexa, Richard, Maria and the remainder of the staff are so welcoming and accommodating! I couldn't have asked for better customer service. Any questions that I had where answered before I was able to ask them. In regards to my room, it was so beautiful. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very charming. I loved it all! Oh and Maria's breakfast? Phenomenal! Thank you for such a great stay!

Paul and I spent the weekend at Fat Duck Inn and wish we had booked a full week. The Inn is located in a quiet residential part of Walla Walla , but within walking distance to Downtown. The exterior is unassuming, but once you enter the Inn you're pleasantly surrounded by rooms that are beautifully appointed and staff who make you feel that their only purpose in life is to assure you have a wonderful experience while visiting Walla Walla. Richard Lane, the manager, is
"The Man!" From the moment we were greeted at the front door till our departure we were treated like royalty. Maria Romero is the incredible cook who prepared a delectable breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay at Fat Duck Inn anytime we're anywhere near Walla Walla. Thank you Richard and Maria for adding a special touch to our Walla Walla weekend.

We had one of the best experiences at this beautiful B & B! The Fat Duck Inn welcomes you as soon as you walk in the front door! It is welcoming and warm, and the staff are outstanding. Alexa is so friendly and accommodating. She does all she can do make you feel at home. Rich is awesome. His friendliness and great personality makes you feel immediately welcomed. Rich does everything he can to ensure your stay is the best ever. One night we wanted a little chocolate or cookie or something after dinner, and he brought to our room the most yummy dessert. Chocolate and ice cream and a tasty cookie on top. He also brought us decaf coffee. You have to stay for dinner at the Inn one night. It was a four course dinner for $65.00! Unbelievable for all you get. All the courses were delicious. They vary on different dinners. Not sure how often they change the menu. But, you will not be disappointed. Sometimes they have a wine dinner. We missed that. The location is wonderful, the beds very .comfortable. We stayed at the Pentail suite. We would highly recommend that room. Large and roomy and on the lower floor. Our friends stayed at the suite upstairs. The breakfast was an ample continental style. Very tasty. You might want to make reso's as soon as possible, as Walla Walla being is a wonderful wine tasting destination. The Fat Duck offers some wonderful wine tasting room discounts. Stay at the Fat Duck, you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: If you plan on going for a special wine tasting weekend, make reservations as soon as possible. The Fat Duck fills quickly.
