My wife and I stayed at the Colonial for 2 nites during our trip to see Walla Walla and the "Palouse" area of Washington. 3 main positives: Squeaky clean, Quiet, and economical. The Colonial is a pure, "plain vanilla" motel. Nothing at all fancy. Very basic, but perfectly adequate for us and a good price at $55. Our room was small, but we spent little time in the room. The staff was most friendly; appears to be a mom-&-pop place. Located on the eastern edge of town, close to the airport, but aircraft noise was no issue whatsoever. We like to walk vs drive, and it's only about a 15 minute
walk to Whitman college and another 5 minutes to downtown. If we return to Walla Walla, we'd for sure return to the Colonial. Good value.
