We had heard about this place a couple of years ago and never made it until now, what a great find. Such interesting dishes and choices were hard for our group of five. We loved everything, plus the wine the waiter suggested was perfect. Dinner was relaxed, the evening was wonderful. Keep an open taste bud when eating here as it is so interesting and flavorful and like nothing anywhere else. I will be back next visit to Walla Walla. Reservations are a must, do not arrive without them. And if you are not going to attend call and cancel, this place is small which makes it work so well.

Though small in size, Saffron offers an incredible menu filled with inspired dishes. I chose the hanger steak which was cooked perfectly and my wife selected the calamari fettuccine which was also quite good! In our opinion, it was the finest meal we ate all week.

They had us at "Mediterranean." It sounded perfect after a day spent driving the backroads around Walla Walla, and we weren't disappointed. We arrived early for our reservation, and were given a table along the wall. The place is small; make sure you make a reservation!

We both ordered a lamb special, and a grilled asparagus appetizer that was incredible (I'll never steam asparagus again!). We asked our excellent server for a wine recommendation, and were impressed that she didn't rattle off the expensive bottles. Instead, she suggested a very good red blend that was $25. We wrapped up our meal with dessert.

Everything was excellent, from atmosphere to service to quality of food. We will definitely come back again.

Everyone told us Saffron was THE place to go. We thought it was ok. Nice interior, good crowd, but the hanger steak was a bit tough.

We dined here after a full day of wine tasting in Walla Walla. The place is small and friendly. Our wait staff was super friendly and knew the menu very well. She was efficient, spot on with serving.

Ordered two appetizers as the main course: Grilled Walla Walla Sweet Onion : braised pork, toasted walnuts, smoked olive oil, Monteillet Causse Noir & lovage; Beef Cheeks: sweet and sour cherries, tamarind, cumin, fresh herbs, yoghurt & orange oil.

Also tried the Fettuccine Nero: wild caught calamari, grilled green onion, Italian parsley, lemon oil & bottarga.

Wood Grilled Washington Country Beef Hanger Steak: adobo marinated, fire roasted fingerling potatoes, almond & caperberry salsa

The calamari was cooked to perfection, tender but not dry. The hanger steak was also made to order, very tender.

They do have a very strict reservation policy. The weekend we visited was Onion Festival, and if we cancel within 24 hours, there was a cancellation fee applied. Even though when we were there, they had empty tables up to 7 pm when we left.
