We had a relaxing weekend in Walla Walla and our stay at the Green Gables Inn certainly contributed to that. Our room was comfortable and the bed was huge. There may be one too many doilies in the room and our bathroom was somewhat outdated (and we ran out of hot water for the shower on one of the mornings) but that is in keeping with the style of the hotel. The location is a little outside of town but we didn't have any trouble walking to and from the shops and restaurants on Main Street.
The breakfasts served on the porch were the highlight for me - a nice choice of tasty savory dishes and fruit, and I'm still thinking about the wonderful scones! I could easily eat those delectable freshly baked goods all day long.
All in all we might choose to stay in the center of town for our next trip, but I would certainly recommend the Green Gables Inn to anyone looking for a charming experience in Walla Walla.
