There is nothing bad I could say about this museum. I went here with my husband while I was in Cincinnati for a conference. It is extremely well done, and interesting for people of all ages, adults and especially for children. They have a replica of a cave, a dinosaur display and an interactive Christmas display with toys and trains, amongst other exhibits that children would love.
I teach history and I was impressed by their ability to tell the history of Cincinnati, along with it's industry, transportation, society and culture, in an accessible way. There was reading involved, but not so much that you felt overwhelmed. I personally loved the small size replica of modern day Cincinnati, complete with a train running through it, as well as throughout the years. There was also a life size replica of 19th century Cincinnati, complete with a butcher, printing store, etc., that made you feel as if you stepped back in time. This was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon before we drove home. Importantly, I left with a better sense of Cincinnati's strategic location and its rise as an important industrial center in the 19th century U.S. Excellent museum!
