There is nothing bad I could say about this museum. I went here with my husband while I was in Cincinnati for a conference. It is extremely well done, and interesting for people of all ages, adults and especially for children. They have a replica of a cave, a dinosaur display and an interactive Christmas display with toys and trains, amongst other exhibits that children would love.

I teach history and I was impressed by their ability to tell the history of Cincinnati, along with it's industry, transportation, society and culture, in an accessible way. There was reading involved, but not so much that you felt overwhelmed. I personally loved the small size replica of modern day Cincinnati, complete with a train running through it, as well as throughout the years. There was also a life size replica of 19th century Cincinnati, complete with a butcher, printing store, etc., that made you feel as if you stepped back in time. This was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon before we drove home. Importantly, I left with a better sense of Cincinnati's strategic location and its rise as an important industrial center in the 19th century U.S. Excellent museum!

Union Terminal is such an amazing example of Art Deco architecture. completed in 1933 this treasure almost faced the demolition block which is just so unbelievable. Fortunately it was saved and it is a must see in Cincinnati. There are mosaic murals that were also saved for years at the airport and then returned to their rightful place . The building is now home to several museums within a museum. An excellent Children's Museum, as well as a Natural History and Cininnati history Museum. Also, exclusive touring exhibits are put on like the Dead Sea Scrolls, Cleopatra, Titanic, Pompeii, Bodies etc etc. Simply awesome!

Took 10 yr. Old granddaughter & she had a ball! Great for high-energy kid like her. We went to Natural history, Duke Energy Children's & Omnimax movie & she enjoyed all 3, but definitely Children's was favorite. I appreciated benches & chance to sit down while she explored. The ball zone was fun, Kroger grocery & fuel station, water zone, & treehouse/climbing area all kept her entertained & after such activity, she slept on 3 hr. ride home! What a beautiful venue the old railroad station is, also!!

This is a fabulous museum! Whether you are spending the day, or just looking to kill a few hours, the variety and selection of the various exhibit halls is amazing. And the architecture of the building alone is stunning. I have seen a number of travelling exhibits here as well, and they are always presented with the same care and attention that the museum gives to the permanent collection.
