“Peaceful and Park-like”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014

Spring Grove has been listed as one of the largest and best cemeteries in the nation.... and for good reason! It has so much history, and the grounds are perfectly peaceful. The lakes, fountains, bridges and paths add to the inviting, park-like setting. It's a great place to walk or drive, with many picturesque sites. A lot of people choose this setting for wedding pictures and other formal photos.
This place may change all your ideas about cemeteries.

“Beautiful”

This place is amazing. It is so big so make sure you stop at the front and get a map. There is a ton of history here along with some historical people. Bring your walking shoes

“Historic find”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014

Spring Grove is a beautiful cemetery and Arboretum. It's a nice place to walk or leisurely stroll and look at old headstones. If you want to walk the 5k course I wouldn't recommend using the map on their website. It is very confusing and you can get easily lost in the cemetery! Other than that it is very nice and if you've never been before I would allow a couple hours before closing time in case you do find yourself lost!

“A fine and private place for eternal rest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 June 2014

I grew up in Cincinnati, but had never visited Spring Grove Cemetery until recently. It's a serene and lovely location, with lots of interesting monuments. You're bound to recognize the graves of some prominent Cincinnati citizens. The place is huge, and the roads winding, so if you're making a visit, be sure to get a map! Apparently, this is also a good place to teach your children how to drive.

“Surprised this is a tourist destination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 June 2014

Since my Dad and grandparents are buried there, I was surprised to see this listed as a destination. But it is really beautiful there and would be a great place to walk. There are an amazing number of historical people buried there.
