If you're in Cincinnati and want an eclectic, reasonably-priced establishment known for its awesome burgers, Roxy's is the place to go. This one-time Hamburger Mary's franchise has made a go of its independent ownership, and the results are delicious.
Let's get one thing 'Straight': Roxy's isn't. And while the bar within Roxy's serves a predominantly Gay clientele, sexual orientation is the last thing on your mind when you're enjoying an awesome meal here. The dining area is a chic-design with checkered-tile flooring and the tables include collages of Marilyn Monroe and other celebrities.
Roxy's flair and originality is evident in its menu choices, ranging from appetizers like "Hommos Say What?!" (hummus), "Chop To It" (salad) and their famous burgers, which include "Hell Fire" and my personal favorite, "The Big Shroom." The fries are just one of the many good sides here.
Since the restaurant is adjacent to the bar, a nice-sized drink list gives one access to some flavorful concoctions such as "The Fuzzy Teabag" and the "Lemonlaid".
Service at Roxy's is friendly and efficient. I forget the name of the male server who also ran the bar at the time, but he did an excellent job. Roxy's also features sidewalk seating.
Head to Roxy's for some excellent burgers, drinks and sides in a fun atmosphere. You won't be disappointed!
