“beautiful and warm”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

Saw many wonderful plants and flowers on our trip to the conservatory. The price was very reasonable - $5 for me and my two daughters. We spent several hours and could have spent much longer. Was there for the spring bling event - loved seeing all the colorful spring flowers! Other highlights were the bonsai (enjoyed reading about how it's done), and the orchid room. The desert room was also very interesting. It was quite crowded - not sure if it was because it was Good Friday/Spring Break, or some other reason. They do not have lockers, so be prepared to carry your coat if you take one in. They did have a coat rack, but there were no hangers left when we got there half an hour after they opened. Another tip: Be sure to bring extra batteries for your camera. The gift shop does not carry batteries. Our batteries died after the fourth picture. (So disappointing!)

“A nice way to spend a couple hours”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

The Krohn Conservatory is located in the heart of Cincinnati's Eden park. It's just minutes from downtown, with a great overlook of the river nearby, and yet you feel like you're in the middle nowhere (in a good way).
The Conservatory is a "must see" and we always take visitors there. There is a fantastic collection of plants and flowers that you won't see anywhere else - from all over the globe! Admission is by donation, so it can be a great inexpensive way to spend a couple hours. During the spring, they host a butterfly show that is second to none. Walking through the giant greenhouse, having the most impressively gorgeous butterflies landing on your arm or hand is almost surreal.
Take a picnic lunch with you and head outside to the river overlook in Eden Park for a wonderful outing. You're only a minute or two away from the Cincinnati Art museum. Put that in your plan and make it a full day in Cincinnati's inner-city Eden Park

“One of my favorite places!”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

This is always a great trip--from the Christams poinsettas, the live manager animals, the cactus room, the bonsai trees, the waterfall, the tree with homemade ornaments, the train display of cincinnati history, the names on all the unique trees, the goldfish in the ponds, and just remembering you are in the upside down heart designed building is fun. Our daughter wants her garden wedding here because she has so many memories. Easy stop on the way to the art museum too and dont forget the butterfly show!!!!

My husband and I visited on a Friday morning. The price of admission was $4.00 for the two of us. Was not crowded and the spring flower display was gorgeous.
