The OTR Biergarten is a great jumping off point for a tour of Cincinnati's historic beer district. The Biergarten itself is not very big, 20 or so small round tables sitting in a canyon of Italianate buildings. The sun beat down on us while we sipped our locally brewed beers. The beer selection that day was limited to two local breweries (Cincinnati currently has about ten microbreweries). The Christian Moerlein selection is always good. The ressurrected Wiedemann is much better than I remembered when my dad drank it. What makes this place special is that it sits in the heart German-American beer culture which, if you take the time to explore, will make that cold beverage a lot more enjoyable.
