“Great property and location”
Reviewed 10 June 2012

The only reason I did not rate a 5 was simply due to price. This is an expensive hotel, at least the room we stayed in, but also very nice. We opted for a breakfast package which included breakfast and free valet parking. Both made it worth it. valet is usually $28 a night and breakfast can add up, but we took advantage of both options. We used room service for breakfast and both of our meals were excellent. They arrived hot and tasted very good. Service in all aspects was great. Every person we interacted with was a professional and very polite.

Our room was great also. It was a fairly recently remodeled room which is nice. Probably the most comfortable bed we have had in a hotel. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was also probably one of the best we had had. Huge jacuzzi tub, fireplace (electric), and a TV complimented the large bathroom very nicely. Our room was an interior room overlooking the atrium and was quiet. I recommend checking out the stairs also. Sounds kinda dumb yeah, but this is an historic hotel. Our room was on the 7th floor and looking down the stairs was interesting. Just imagining how everyone used to have to take the stairs when there was not an elevator is interesting.

Last thing... it is in a great location. Close to the Fountain Square and within walking distance to shopping and the sports venues.

We were there for a Reds game and it also happened to be 'taste of Cincy'. The hotel was very close to everything! 1 block to the 'taste' and maybe 6 blocks to the Reds game. Lots of nightlife nearby. The hotel was very clean and had a great staff. Enjoyed using an actual key 'old school'. Loved our room. Nicely appointed and I liked the bathroom with a sink outside the room with the shower/toilet. We were only there 1 night and was not able to explore the hotel much, but there was a bar in the lobby that looked stocked well. My husband and I will def stay again.

This hotel has excellent customer service and we had a fantastic stay there from the check-in to concierge to housekeeping staff. A great value in Cincinnati!

This was my first stay at the Cincinnatian. It was a beautiful hotel and as an I Prefer member I was eligible for a free upgrade. Although the upgraded rooms were sold out, the staff did all they could to make sure I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is near all the major downtown sites and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cincinnati. My only dislike was that the inner guest rooms face the lobby/bar area so you can hear music from the bar.

My wife, daughters and granddaughter were excited to visit the Palace Restaurant. Its reputation preceding our visit? its supposed to be one of the best for special meals. We had poor service, inedible food, drinks that didn't resemble our requests and no apologies or adjustments. I had to tell the head waiter how to make a Bellini!?! Not even an effort to address our issues--is this a place that is so secure with its vaulted reputation? Keep it up and you'll soon be your worst enemy. Bad idea in a city that is opening new restaurants daily and you've gotten lazy and sloppy!

My husband got a great deal on Hotwire when we went down for the Flying Pig Marathon. The room was beautiful, but most importantly very clean. The cleaning staff went out of their way to make sure that we had everything when we were there. The entire staff was very nice and responsive. Wake calls were to the second. Valet parking was a bit expensive, next time we'll know to park in a garage around the corner. There was free coffee every morning, and they even had it up and running early for people running the marathon. I would definitly go back there again.

We stayed one night on a Priceline bid. Although our room was not one of the fancier ones shown on the website, it was tastefully done and very pleasant. We were given a choice of a room over-looking the street or the atrium. We chose the atrium and had no issues with noise. The staircase is beautiful - I loved the worn marble for what is represented. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely stay there again.
