We stopped at Wilson's Creek on June 20, over Father's Day weekend. To celebrate Father's Day, the site was "fee free," so there was no charge to do the driving tour. The film in the visitor's center was very interesting and informative. We did the driving tour, and stopped at each location. We were also lucky enough to be there on a day when the Ray House was open for tours; our kids loved going inside and seeing how people lived "in the old days!" The volunteer guide at that stop was really informative and involved our kids in her discussion. Later in the day, a cannon firing demonstration was scheduled, but we were unable to stay that long. Overall, we really enjoyed the way the tour was set-up, the wealth of information available, and the extremely friendly parks volunteers and employees.
