Stayed there one night 05/04/11 in a room with a Kingsize bed.We were on our way from New York City to Niagra Falls. This is perfect in between. Clean and huge room! The bathroom is also big, seperate shower cabin, so no standing in bath to shower, perfect!
We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked and smelled great. We had a pizza at the pizza place just around the corner.
And free wifi, free parking and I called to a friend in Chicago and they didn't charge phonecalls she said!

The Hotel Clarence is named after the angel in Frank Capra's masterpiece "It's A Wonderful Life". Seneca Falls is the town that Mr. Capra based Bedford Falls upon. This past weekend the hotel hosted a three day festival celebrating food and wine and cocktails from the Fingerlakes region. The hotel itself was newly appointed and convenient to local shopping, as well as having it's own restaurant and bar where my wife and I enjoyed the hospitality and amazing food of the staff and head chef.

Overall, it was a wonderful weekend and one the Hotel hopes to repeat next year.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem equally comfortable.

Everything at the Hotel Clarence was Wonderful! From the moment we walked in the door, until the time that we left, we received amazing service, hospitality, and friendship. The entire staff, from the "Angels" at the front desk, to our new favorite chef and bartender, treated us in such a way that we never wanted to leave! We had such a great time that we actually ended up staying an extra night. The room was gorgeous, with a large bathroom and extremely comfortable bed, and the hotel is located right in town, making for a pleasurable walk to all the sights the town has to offer. We will definitely be back! Thank you Hotel Clarence!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Clarence March 11-13, 2011 and I can't say enough about the cleanliness of this hotel! The rooms are small, but beautifully appointed and the hotel is literally sparkling throughout. The staff were very friendly, and the food was FANTASTIC. The hotel bar is really comfortable and has a cozy relaxed sitting area. Jennifer, the hardworking bartender, was an absolute gem!

The only downside was the lack of amenities. It would have been great if the hotel had a spa, or if there were local nightlife/entertainment, even live music at the hotel. I had hoped the hotel would offer local wine tours, but most guests seemed to be arranging this themselves. We tend not to like to drive ourselves when we're going to wineries, so that didn't really appeal. Nonetheless, the shopping at the Waterloo Outlet Mall and generally just relaxing, made for a very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Clarence on a Tues. & Wed. shortly after a 2 foot snowfall, so there wern't many other guests (although we learned that were totally booked for the upcoming weekend.) For quite a while, we were the only 2 people in the large diningroom, but a college student waitress was so friendly and made us feel so welcome that it wasn't a bit awkward. The food was absolutely marvelous - lambchops for my husband, smoked beef brisket for me, and a shared gorgeous salad. Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel was ultra friendly and helpful with suggestions of what to see in the area. Everything was very clean as well.

When my wife told me to find a place to stay by the Waterloo Outlets I knew just the place. I'd come across the Clarence a few months back and thought that it seemed the perfect mix of trendy and mainstream and couldn't wait to go. We were greeted quite warmly upon arrival and got into our room in no time at all. We had the king-one bedroom suite which was awesome. Hardwood floors, two tv's, shag rug, and a huge comfy kind-sized bed. The bathroom was cool too as it had a large room with dual sinks and then a separate room for the stand-up (tiled and glass surround) shower and toilet. The only design flaw that I saw was there was plenty of room to put a nice soaking tub in. Obviously that would have entailed a bit more plumbing work so for one reason or another...it was left out; however, we were still completely happy (probably wouldn't have tubbed it much anyway). The room was very quite and clean and just fun to be in. The staff was very helpful and always kind, both the housekeepers and the front-desk staff. Lindsay was great and helped put together a small event and couldn't recommend her more (that goes for the whole staff, too!). Overall, the price was right, the room was perfect, and the staff was wonderful...can't wait to go back!
