The hotel was renovated at some point and by an large the renovation seems good although the decor seemed a little odd for a historic hotel. The problem is that the common areas such as the bar, lobby and restaurant area all badly in need of another renovation. The staff was pleasant and friendly but there were some issues--for some reason they could not keep the breakfast bar area adequately stocked. The breakfast was pretty good although the absence of any non-dairy protein was a little disappointing. Our room was exactly as expected but could have used a good cleaning. In fact all of the common areas just seemed a little scruffy as well. But the location was great. We did not eat in the restaurant for dinner as we had read some reviews that were less than favorable. While it is not likely that we will be in Seneca Falls again any time soon I hope that if we are we will find that this property has had some additional investment. We had no difficulty with parking.

Room Tip: We had a room that had no view but did not face the street and was very quiet.

A nice vintage hotel, that has been modernized, but left the character in place. Room was good size and clean. We took the dinner package and our meal was not great. My partner ordered the salmon, left half, found salmon oily and not fresh. I had a salad ,still waiting for the dressing. My steak, I ordered medium well, came rare. The meal was not the quality we expected, very disappointing. I would not recommend this dining room, maybe it was an off night for the chef. The front desk staff, bartender and cleaning were courteous and helpful.

Room Tip: Do not have one.

The Gould hotel is a excellent boutique hotel in Seneca Falls within the Finger Lakes. The service was perfect from cheque in to cheque out. The room was a good size with all that we needed. It was very clean and well kept. The only unfortunate thing is the rest of the main street is empty, lots of for lease/sale signs and businesses are out of business. It was fairly central for visiting the wineries and no issues driving from the location. The hotel itself was excellent and it cannot control what is happening in the town around it.

A charming, clean, and comfortable hotel. Stayed with a group of women friends for a weekend of touring historic sites. Staying in a historic hotel added to the fun. Most of the staff was very attentive. Only one desk clerk was curt and unaccommodating. Breakfast was limited. We did dine in the restaurant for dinner and the food was good (3.5 stars for dinner).

We stopped here for the night on our way home from RIT to pick up my sons hockey bag, dirty winter clothes and other crap he didn't need.

It was really cool building. Looks like a warehouse outside but when you go inside it was really nice. We were greeted at the front desk she explained the hotel to us before we left the counter.

We went to Cayuga wine tour 1st thing in the morning... Yes started at 11:30 am LOL

We returned to the hotel to find the bar was packed !!! We couldn't get a seat at the bar so we sat down to eat in the restaurant.

There was a guy playing guitar at the bar who wore a hooded sweatshirt looked like he rolled down a hill and into the hotel . BUT he was pretty good !! Not sure if the wine had anything to do with it.

The food was great !!! I had a Reuben a my wife had a salad with smoked tuna Our waitress Tamieka suggested both meals) I will give the dinner a 9-10 The wait staff was great !!! Tamaika was our server and she did a great job and had a great personality ! There was another young kid there ( Kennon) who was doing everything and anything ! He was very nice and made sure you were taken care of with anything you need. Its nice to have a conversation with the millennials and have them look you in the eye ! It's a shame more people dont stay here while going to the finger lakes. The bed was very comfortable with a humungous walk in shower. Included continental breakfast !!!!!! This was a great experience. Just my opinion

The only thing we wish we had was a fridge to keep our wine cold.

Room Tip: Stay in higher floors away from noises. ( traffic shut down around )

We stayed at the Gould Hotel in Seneca Falls on a Saturday night. The atmosphere inside the hotel was historic and well done. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The king size bed was comfy and the linens crisp.
One downside was that the above average gap size under the door allows in sounds from the hallway ,louder than most.

I stayed at The Gould Hotel in February for 2 nights with my boyfriend and had a wonderful time. Upon check in, Clint assisted us. We asked what wineries were best, and for restaurant suggestions along the wine trail. He was extremely accommodating and a gave great suggestions. He always greeted us on our way in and out of the Hotel, which did not always happen when he was not working. He was friendly, polite, and overall a great asset to your Hotel.
As for the room, it was beautiful! Just as the photographs appear on the website, which is not always the case. I do wish there was a refrigerator in the room, but that would be my only suggestion.

Thank you for the wonderful stay! We hope to be back again soon
