“Stayed for one night”
Reviewed 11 June 2012

This was my first experience with Microtel hotels. I found the room clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities that I would need for several days stay. The location was easy to get into, with stores and restaurants convenient.

I met a man who complained that the hallways were too warm. I didn't find them to hot, I was in my room and only in the hallway for short times.

Clean, affordable, friendly staff, and conveniently located if you are shipping at the Waterloo Outlets or hitting the wine trails.

We planned on taking advantage of the after-Christmas sales at the Waterloo Premium Outlets. Being avid shoppers, we knew that we would need a full day to do our shopping. We looked for a place to stay overnight so that we could hit the ground running as soon as the stores opened the following morning. Our criteria were proximity, low cost (preferred to spend our money at the outlets than on a luxurious hotel room), non-smoking, and clean - a place to have a good night's sleep in a clean room and have a warm shower. Microtel met all of these conditions. Breakfast was included too - albeit a basic one (cold and hot cereal, muffins, toast, bagels, coffee, juices), but again spending at the outlets was more important to us so this saving was great. Read the other reviews and agree with the amenities - hand and bath soap, one small shampoo, no conditioner, did have a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, coffee maker with coffee/non-dairy creamers/sugar, no couch but a window seat and a desk and chair. We were able to walk to the grocery store right across the street to get snacks. You can get beer and coolers there but not wine. We'd definitely stay here again for the same purpose (outlets). Note: prices vary depending whether it's off season or peak season. A room like ours, which was $60 + taxes, would be closer to $100.)

We stayed at the Microtell in Seneca Falls just last week. The hotel itself was quite nice- I have never stayed at a Microtell so I was a skeptical of what to expect. The hotel is close to McDonald's, Wal-Mart, Taco Bell etc., but seems to be in the middle of farm country (I think it's in wine country actually). The staff were very friendly, and we even got lucky and got a king room non-smoking (we booked through hotwire). The room was clean and a little small, but not bad at all. The continental breakfast was just OK- pre-packaged muffins and bagels, but there were hard boiled eggs, juice, oatmeal etc., you get what you pay for- standard for that class of hotel. If you need a place to stay for the night, it's completely worth it and not too far from the Waterloo Outlets.

I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others!

This hotel was on the edge of Seneca Falls, opposite supermarket and close to Walmart and KFC, Taco Bell. The area is expensive generally but I guess this is one of the least scenic locations around wine/lake country.
As an overnight stop off on travels to Niagara from NYC we thought it about halfways or thereabouts and as such made sense to stop. Hotel itself was little dated but clean and good value for money given the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was not much to write home about. We visited Parkers Grill & Tap house in the picturesque old town about a mile drive from the hotel which is highley recommended. We also went to nearby Outlet Shopping mall for Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein amonst other stores

We traveled with another couple and enjoyed our stay at this hotel ,the rooms were very clean and the beds so comfortable. Staff was very helpful and we would definitely stay here again.
While we didn't take them up on their free continental breakfast we opted to eat at Magee 's Diner about 4 miles down the highway almost adjadent to the turnoff to the Waterloo outlets. Good food and cheap...
If you want to take in some sight seeing take the drive to Watkins Glen . There are many winery's along the route and the scenery is breathtaking.
