Just spent three days at the VanCleef - perfect place to stay for the "It's a Wonderful Life" weekend. Convenient to the downtown, breakfasts were wonderful, and Carol was very good about giving directions to find all of the events. It was fun to chat with other Wonderful Life fans - rooms were very clean and comfortable. No television, which we missed a bit due to the weather and wanted to check on the conditions...we had an iPad so we were fine. Would love to return in the summer to see more of this beautiful area !

We stayed at the B&B several times. The breakfasts are to die for!!! Rooms are very clean, and it is very close to the wineries. The Inn keepers are very nice, and the B&B is like staying at home.Carol gave us tips on where to go, and after a day of visiting the wineries, it was a pleasure to come back, kick our feet up and relax, and count the minutes to our next breakfast!!!

I stayed over night at VanCleef Homestead this week and it was just perfect. From the second I stepped through the door, innkeeper Carol made me feel right at home. From the engaging conversation to the claw foot tub and toasty warm and comfy room, I felt like I could settled in and completely unwind in the night I stayed at the VanCleef.

There was a cozy room to read or play the piano or the stack of games that were available and there were lots of current magazines and books to read if you left home without one. This was an ideal place to read--lots of natural light and peacefully quiet.

The inn in just a five minute drive from the center of town (the Women's Hall of Fame, Women's Rights National Historical Site, restaurants and shops), and in nicer weather, totally walkable. It is also very close to the Seneca wine trail.

Carol had recommendations for dinner and breakfast at the inn was terrific--if you get a chance to have the baked french toast, jump at it!

I will be back to VanCleef Homestead--THANKS Carol!

Our weekend trip to Seneca Falls, Romulus, and Waterloo was made memorable by Carol's warm reception as soon as we pulled in. The home was lovely, warm and inviting. The rooms were clean, well laid out and made it easy to relax. The sheets and pillows were divine. We appreciated having local books and reference materials handy to help us navigate the area (as well as other popular books scattered around). My 6 year old LOVED the piano, the reading bear, board games and her personal "Mickey Mouse" pancake at breakfast. The breakfast was made with local produce and tasted great. She made all of us feel special. We will be back next year.

This was our first time at a B&B with our young children (8 and 5). Most B&Bs do not welcome children so we were very happy to find one that would. We felt right at home at VanCleef Homestead.

The four of us shared the Swaby Suite and were very comfortable. The beds are great! We really appreciated the iced water in the rooms and the advice that Carol gave us regarding where to shop, where to eat etc. Having the swimming pool available to use was a big bonus as well.

This is a good base from which to explore the beautiful surrounding area.

We arrived later than expected due to poor weather, but Carol had a plate of cookies waiting to greet us in the dining room. She is warm and outgoing, and knowledgeable about area restaurants and activities. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. She even had a pitcher of ice water in each room. The public living areas (living room, dining room) are nicely decorated and feel welcoming. My husband and I stayed in the upstairs king room and our traveling companions stayed in the downstairs room with the claw-footed tub. Both of us agreed that the beds were comfortable. Carol was very accommodating for dietary needs during breakfast. As first time B&Bers, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

We were not sure of our arrival time in town and when we drove in that evening and called around, Carol welcomed us. From the moment we walked in Carol took care of us and made us quite at home. We loved our downstairs suite; very warm, quiet, cozy. Claw foot tub was very relaxing. Carol checked with us to ensure we had the breakfast we needed before we headed out by bicycle. Breakfast was complete and had special touches and delicious. Carol also has beverage treats always available; small refrigerator available too. The homestead is easy to find and in a lovely part of town; comfortable porch and yard. Parking is convenient in the extra large driveway. Carol is very knowledgeable about the history of the house and area and excited to help guests. Carol is very genuine in her desire to provide a wonderful guest experience. Carol also helped us so that we could bicycle for three days and return to the Van Cleef. We felt like we returned home even to the note on the door saying 'welcome home' and our same room. Thank you Carol!! We wish you the very best :-)

Room Tip: Our first floor suite was comfortable with easy access. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, claw tub with...
