Owner description: A 140-mile scenic drive past some of Yellowstone's most famous sites.

You really have to go on the Grand Look Road if you want to be amazed at all that Yellowston has to offer. That is where most of the Geyser will be located. That is where you will see 99 percent of your wildlife ( bison).

However, if you are pushed for time then skip the part from Canyon Village to Grant Village. But make sure you see all of the fall around Canyon Village.

Do yourself a favour & get up early to do this road.Take it slow & keep your eyes open if you want to see wildlife, the more uncommon ones [bear, wolf].There are plenty of stops to be made for pics etc.

We enjoyed the grand loop very much. We took our time and stopped in many places to admire the natural wonders of the park.
Yellowstone now tops our list of the mid and north west national parks.

We have traversed all of the grand loop, over two trips. My favorite areas are fishing bridge & the Hayden valley. Expect the travel to be slow with frequent critter sites and rubberneckers.

There are many sites to see along the loop. Drive slow and look for the wildlife. You will see many bison and if you are lucky will see some elk, moose or bear.
