This lodge is my favorite of the lodges found in Yellowstone national park. Mammoth is quite, out of the way and beautiful. The lack of TV's and internet really let you escape from the world and just relax. Compared to the rest of the park Mammoth is quite with few people around compared to say Old Faithful aria. You will never run out of things to do at Mammoth ether, there are trails all around the hotel, as well as wildlife spotting tours on top of great access to the rest of the park. Over all if you want a beautiful, quite, escape from society feel then Mammoth lodge is for you.

Room Tip: Try and get a room that if facing the front of the hotel for a better view Also rooms higher up are quieter but warmer in the summer.

Now that our daughters are adults, they don't want to stay in the parents' room. Xanterra has taken the duplex cabins and turned them into family units, with one room having a queen bed, and the other with two doubles...perfect. Cabin was clean and comfortable, and was recently painted. Love to sit on porch in the evening and listen to the quiet!

We booked this hotel for our family of 8 (two rooms suited us well), and with the expectation of staying in an older, basic hotel. From the elk on the lawn to the dining hall across the street and the hot springs a few steps away, all of our expectations were exceeded. Keep in mind, this is a value hotel, and in our case, we booked rooms with a shared bath. The shared bath and the shower area were actually much nicer than we anticipated. The rooms also had pleasant touches like terry robes and Yellowstone's private label of soap and lotion in the rooms. The wood floors and screened windows gave the hotel a nostalgic, sincere hospitality that most modern hotels lack today. If you are looking for a unique hotel that is also a good value, take a look at this property. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Stayed inside the hotel but had a shared shower and bathroom. There is only 2 rooms in the entire park that has TV and both are at the Mammoth Inn. These are in the suites only. Rooms were clean and well kept. Free coffee in the morning. No AT&T cell service or Internet.

The cabin has no TV, or internet, but that won’t make a difference; at least it did not for us. By the time we returned from dinner, we were so tired the lack of a TV was of no concern. A/C is also not available, but having gone in May, the provided fan was adequate.
