“Wonderful dining at reasonable prices”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

The Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room definitely served up the best food we had in Yellowstone and was reasonably priced. We didn't have anything really fancy for dinner but did sample the bison burgers (nice revenge for those big guys blocking the roadways) and the walleye dinner. Both were excellent. The servers in the restaurant were polite and attentive and were chatty if you had questions about the restaurant or area or just about anything. The restaurant is popular and we had to wait the second night there for about 25 minutes which didn't seem too bad. We also ate at the Canyon Lodge restaurant and it wasn't nearly as good so don't miss the chance while in Mammoth to eat at their Dining Room.

“Dinner or breakfast - it's delicious!”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We had both dinner and breakfast here and they were both delicious. We had the buffet for breakfast and it was plentiful and hearty.

“Decent food if you have to eat”
Reviewed 2 July 2014

The menu is pretty basic but the food is OK. Plan on waiting in line to order and waiting even longer to get your food.

“Eat outside the park if possible”
Reviewed 30 June 2014

My husband and I had lunch at the Mammoth Hot Springs Dining Room and never was so much spent for so little and such poor food. I had a vegetarian wrap sandwich that was tasteless and my husband had an overcooked stayed- under- heat- lamps- forever hamburger that was truly awful.
The two sandwiches and ice tea and a lemonade was close to $25 .

The man who waited on us seemed unhappy to be there and barely acknowledged us. After eating the food, I was equally as unhappy to be there.

One of only two bathroom stalls for the Ladies' bathroom was in working order so the line to use the restroom was long . This is a huge dinning room and we were there after the lunch crush. I can't imagine how long it would have taken to use the bathroom had it been an hour earlier . What is a place this size doing with only two bathroom stalls anyway?

It might not be possible but if you can don't eat or stay in the park. Stay at a motel in one of the towns outside the gates/ entrances and bring a cooler with some drinks and sandwiches. Have a picnic somewhere along side of the falls or one of the other attraction areas and you will be money and taste buds ahead of the game.

“Breakfast ”
Reviewed 29 June 2014 via mobile

Our family of four had breakfast here one morning. The buffet offerings are pitiful compared to the breakfast buffet at Yellowstone lake hotel, which charges the same price. Food quality was fine but not exceptional. Service was severely lacking. The kids had the buffet and had finished their first plate without even water on the table. I would not come back.
