Great and different way to see the geysers! After 2 days of getting in and out of the car to view thermal areas this was a welcoming change. Justin answered all our questions that we had accumulated about the park and surrounding areas. Great way to sneak in some excercise too!

Allie and Justin were amazing tour guides. We were scheduled to go out later in the week but they determined (and rightly so) that the weather wouldn't be great so they rebooked us for a sunset tour earlier in the week. Yellowstone Lake was beautiful. The views were spectacular and their knowledge of the area and it's history was great. Our kids, ages 16, 18 and 20 really bonded with them and loved all their stories. Their kayaks were comfortable and they provided water, snacks and dry bags for our extra layers. They take you to see some hot springs that are not accessible by land as well as an underwater cave and some hot springs in the lake. We met them at the Lake Village marina. Very easy to get to. We are so grateful for this experience and loved meeting Allie and Justin.

Nine of us went on a half day kayak tour with Justin Shurr and it was shurrly awesome! We have kayaked on vacation all over the U.S. and this was one of the best trips we have ever done and that includes Alaska.

The reservation experience was great and very organized. They like to start their tours of Lake Yellowstone at 8:30 am to avoid the wind that comes up around noon. Not wanting to get up early on vacation they graciously allowed us to push the start time to 9:00 am.

At 9:00 am Justin had everything ready to go. He gave us neoprene gloves and life vests. He also had plenty of water tight bags for all of our stuff. The kayaks were pretty new and were in great shape including having rudders which were wonderful- much easier to steer.

Justin gave us a great orientation to start. The thing we liked most about Justin was his awesome customer service, his laser focus on safety and and his easy going and kind demeanor. He never lost sight of the fact that it is life threatening if you go in the drink here. Yellowstone Lake is around 40 degrees year round. I put my hand in the water for 10 seconds to take some go pro footage and it was absolutely freezing.

We stayed closed to shore the whole time for safety purposes. Justin showed us great thermal features at West Thumb Geysers and had a great working knowledge of the Lake. We stopped several times on shore to rest and eat. He was constantly asking us if we needed to eat, go to the bathroom or rest (which we greatly appreciated). He asked us many times if we were having a good time and if there was anything he could do to makebour experience more enjoyable. Like I said - over the top customer service.

He brought more snacks than we could eat and brought a water bottle for each of us. Justin took a lot of photos of us with his Nikon and anything we asked him to do he did. He really made the trip a lot of fun and enjoyable. We got back around 1:15 pm. The trip was challenging due to the wind that came up late morning but we had a hearty and experienced young group. I am sure Justin would have turned us back sooner if we had asked or if he had any concerns.

1 of our group wasn’t able to go and he even refunded our money for that person.
I can’t say enough good thing about this experience. It was a shurr-fire winner.

We took a day-long hike with Shurr Adventures on September 12, 2017. When we first contacted them, they were booked. Later they were able to fit us in and were very accommodating . Right before the big day, Allie followed up to ask if we needed to cancel as she recalled that we lived in the path of hurricane Irma. The hike to Shoshone Lake was beautiful. Allie personally led our hike and pointed out several details about the trees, animals and park history. Allie allowed us to explore areas that interested us and we took breaks as often as we wanted. She took lots of pictures for us which we will treasure for years. Highlights included a beaver dam, incredible views along the entire hike and watching the squirrels bombard us with pine cones! She carried in a nice lunch and spread it out on a log right on the shore. One of the most special meals my wife and I have ever shared.
