we were here with our baby. the falls don't run in early fall (oct) but it is a beautiful place. We didn't stay in the park so we had driving before and after so I felt rushed. next time definitely will fined a place to stay IN the park.
there are many options with strollers as well I found here on TripAdvisor.
Have fun!

All three falls that make up Yosemite Falls were flowing with lots of water in June. It was beautiful to see and photograph.

Title: Beautiful "everything"... loved it ALL
ID#: 181526914

We took the Buffalo Bus Touring's full day tour and it was great. Highlights were comfortable bus, with bathroom, air cond. & BIG windows. Since we had limited time (2 wks total), it was very important to take this tour and not drive. We loved every part of the tour. The Giant Sequoias part of the tour was via an open tram .. stopping often and very good interpreter guide (all day). He had 17 years experience in Yosemite plus his studies, he seemed to "know it all." He shared this experience with the best views, explaining names, history, and details about the trees, flowers, birds, the huge rock formations, and the value of the many forrest fires, most of which was new info for us. (the forrest fires gave us a LITTLE smoke one day ... not bad.

Being our 1st National Park tour of 4, we were immediately "taken" by all the beauty and the great views. We really appreciated all the insights and "stories." A lunch was provided at the beautiful Wawona Hotel.

It was disappointing that we only saw one waterfall; the spring is the best time for that, in that lots of water is generated by rains & melting snows. This was well pointed out prior to our making the reservations. This was a fantastic tour and tour guide and a most reasonable tour cost: Upper OR Lower Loop, $69 / $64 Seniors; BOTH 1-day tours, $129/Sr.

The Park was on fire a few days before we got their. I don't know if you ever experienced something like that but, the sight will never leave me very devastating. Remember only you can prevent forest fires. The interior of the park was a little smoky, but was ok from flames. We parked our car in the parking lot, and a bus picked us up and took us to the trail. You can see the falls from the valley but, the climb is what made the trip. the climb is 5 miles going up a mountain. The trail is well kept. Even though their were a lot of people going up and coming down their was enough room for everyone. Once you got to the top you began to understand that the climb was worth the effort. Thank you park service for such a great time, will be back.

Yosemite Falls are best viewed early in the season - they can be losing its potency by June, and fully dried up by July / August. If you can, try and time it for a full moon when on a clear night, when the moon is at the right angle you can catch a moonbow on camera (rainbow in the moonlight). You can't see them with the naked eye but a time exposure on your camera can reveal it! The times/dates are published so check it out on line before you go in case there is one while you are there! Usually very popular so loads of people up there with cameras!
