If you have just a little time there is a 1 mile hike to the Giant Grizzly Sequoia which gives you some information about the trees and wild fires etc. but this part is a little crowded in the summer. It is a good idea to bring a bit more time and step beyond that point. The trails are well paved but you will only seldom meet other people and have time and place to really enjoy the magnificent trees. The fall sequoia which was a tunnel is a great spot for children and adults to climb around a bit.
