The lodge was comfortable and quite clean. It is a newer lodge with wood floors and granite baths. It was like a one bedroom apartment with kitchenette and living area with television. We chose Cable Mountain Lodge because is was so close to the park (a 3 minute walk to the park's entrance) and because it offered a kitchenette. On our way in we shopped for some breakfast foods, fruit and bread and lunchmeat for lunch. It was convenient to grab a quick breakfast and then pack a lunch with fruit before hitting the trails. Our plan was to hike much of the day so we didn't have to worry about leaving the trails for lunch.
Also convenient were the canyon outfitter, grocery store, movie theater, restaurant and gift shop on site. We hiked the narrows and rented the necessary gear from the on-site canyon outfitter. This is truly a park-the-car and forget about driving anywhere location. Everything you need right here.More
