“Can't beat this hotel or this location”

This hotel has a SUPERB location. Once you arrive, you park and never have to drive again. The walk to the park visitor center and shuttle bus is about 4 minutes (or less). There is also a separate shuttle service into town. Right across from the hotel is a grocery store, a restaurant and an outfitter store that rents all manner of equipment. There is also an Omni theater directly behind the hotel. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The front desk, very accomodating. The views are tremendous. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Oh...and did I mention the commode has a bidet and a heated "seat"?!

We couldn't get a room at the Zion Lodge in the park for our three day stay -- this was our second choice. Turned out to be a really good pick. It's more of a condo than a hotel -- we effectively had a one-bedroom apartment. Another plus is that it is walking distance (like 100 yards) to the entrance to the park/visitor center and the required-in-the-summer shuttle bus, so its location is only slightly inferior to being in the heart of the park, which you are at the Zion Lodge. Yet another plus is that there is an affiliated brew pub (pretty good food -- burgers, fish-and-chips, nice salads) and market next door, where you get a discount. And the market is really handy, since our room had a reasonably equipped kitchen, so we could cater our own breakfast, which was perfect for us, as we don't like overly big breakfasts that are the norm when you go out to eat them while travelling. Saves money too.

My only complaint, which I make about almost all upscale places is the bed: the fashion seems to be for ultra-plush mattresses with duvets -- you find them at virtually all fancy hotels. My wife and I find them too soft and we swelter under the duvets. Whatever happened to good old-fashioned blankets?

What a really nice hotel! Right next to Zion, great rooms, very nice pool to relax in at the end of a long day of hiking, and within walking distance to shops and the brewpub. Not the cheapest place in the area, but a great value for what you get. Would be idea for a large group, family, couples, or really anyone!

Our first night after traveling to Zion National Park, we stayed at Cable Mountin Lodge. It was most convenient to the entrance of the park which was very nice. The room was clean, neat, and average. We did notice a gap at the bottom of our door (to the outside). Any little critter/lizard could have easily slipped or slithered right in, which made me uneasy the entire stay. The convenience to the park and the park's bus transportation is the best part of lodging there and that cannot be beat! We would definitely ask for a second floor unit and ask for a scenic view out your unit. We were stuck on the first floor at the bottom of the hill/mountain with a retaining wall approximately twelve feet from our door. It was also more expensive than other places we stayed on our trip and there was no breakfast included at the lodge. I'm not sure if we'd ever stay there again.

Two couples shared the Judy Ann suite, which as you will see came well recommended. We appreciated the amazing views of Zion peaks and plateaus and liked our final bill. We had not realized the very spacious bathroom was basically part of the bedroom (toilet is in its own small space with a door), so we had less privacy than imagined. If we were to return, we agreed we would want two separate units, traveling as two couples. The frig saved us $ on breakfast and hiking lunches and we loved being able to walk into the park so easily. Great hot tub for sore muscles and chatting with other visitors. Not least important--great sleeps on the sleeper sofa. Now I know what they CAN feel like!

Excellent hotel within walking distance of Zion Park, with a movie theatre, market, other shops and brew pub all on the premises. Nice pool and hot tub, and used the laundry room too which was very convenient for active families. The rooms are all suites with a full kitchen next to a living room, a HUGE bathroom, and nicely appointed king size bedroom. We had a family of four, so one slept on the pull out couch, and we received a roll away for the second kid (costs $10/day). 2 television (one in living room and one in Bedroom) was a nice feature (no fighting for the remotes). This is not cheap, but well worth it for a suite for a family, with the king sized beds very comfortable (roll aways and couch pull out are good for kids, but not really comfortable for adults). Lots of other families were around, so it seemed to be a popular place. Walked right over to the Zion National Park entrance to catch to park shuttle (parking within the Zion is a nightmare, need to take shuttle to get around). For $250/night, I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We got a room right in front of the pool, which was convenient The view of the Canyon are spectacula...

We stayed here for two nights recently (early May) and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is right next to the park entrance, which is convenient because you don't need to pay for parking at Zion. The hotel also gave us a 20% off coupon at the restaurant next door which was delicious. The rooms were clean, with comfortable beds. We would definitely recommend staying here!
