but quiet. Shuttle to Zion across the street. Room very large, bed comfortable - we had a King size with a huge spa tub. The person at the reception was very friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations for dinner. Would stay there again!

We passed one night at the Quality Inn at Zion Park. It was a pleasure especially after a very bad experience in Bryce canyon. Very well located at the entrance of the park, close to restaurants, clean, comfortable and quiet despite many VR. We could drive into Zion to watch the sunset.
The satff is friendly and the breakfast OK

Whenever I travel, I think of my clients since I own my own travel agency. The pros of this hotel is the close location to restaurants, stores, and Zion National Park entrance. The rooms were very average with a new TV, but the beds were not comfortable. The Wifi was not very fast and the breakfast was not very tasty. I am glad that I only stayed one night before entering the park the next day.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room away from the RV/tent sites.

Hotel seems to be more aimed at the RV and campground market rather than the hotel market.

Room was clean and functional, air conditioning ok, not that cool when you wanted it to be cool, other furniture seemed to indicate wear and tear. Bed was not wonderfully comfortable.

Free wifi but fairly slow reception and kept dropping signal.

Small pool, seemed to be busy all the time.

Breakfast served round corner for hotel guests only, reasonable fare for a free breakfast and could be eaten inside or outside on the terrace.

The main feature of this hotel is its nearness to the National Park entrance (two minutes on free shuttle from right outside hotel or 10 minute walk).

Quite expensive for the brand but probably due to the location more than anything else.

This particular Quality Inn is within walking distance of the Zion Park shuttle departure point. There is a Springdale shuttle stop right out front, which we caught on the way in. But on leaving the park, if you have just missed the departure of a Springdale shuttle, you can certainly walk back to the hotel with little effort.

We had room 110, which was the first room on the ground floor in building B. We had paid extra for a Mountain View with Patio, although to be accurate, whilst our patio faced the direction of the mountains, the main view was of trees and all the camper vans in the RV park that is also part of this business.

The room was large, and although it smelled a little musty at first, this soon went away. It was an older style room, but clean and tidy.

The room had a fridge and microwave. An open alcove for clothes (not a wardrobe) with around eight hangers, an ironing board and iron. We had a comfortable king sized bed, with two bedside tables, plus a separate table and two chairs, a chest of drawers with flat screen TV. Wi-fi was included.

The bathroom was a good size, clean and well maintained, even if it looked a little dated. The sink unit had plenty of shelf space, and included a coffee maker, ice bucket, and ample towels. There was only one toilet roll, and not a full one at that. A small selection of soaps and shampoo were on offer. A hairdryer was on the wall.

The patio that we had paid extra for was just a small paved area outside the French windows, with a bit of grass in between each room in the row. There was certainly no privacy – you were sitting out in full view of anybody passing by plus any of the people in the RV camp who cared to look your way. Once we had got over this slight surprise, though, it was nice to sit out there for an hour or so in the late afternoon. The mountains were just visible here and there through the trees, but you can see them everywhere once you’re in the park, so we didn’t mind that the description of a ‘Mountain View’ was a little exaggerated.

Room 110, was right next to the main door into the block, and the door audibly slammed shut every time somebody entered or left. The ice machine was right next to the room, too, and that was noisy at times.

A modest breakfast was included in the price. This was presented in a small room around the front of the hotel. It included coffee, apple and orange juice and water, cereals, one waffle maker, syrup, toast, muffins, yoghurts and a couple of hot items such as scrambled egg, biscuits (UK: scones) and grits (UK: heaven knows!). The breakfast room was small, but since there really aren’t a huge number of rooms in the hotel (and the breakfast is not available for RV guests) it is probably just sufficient.

There seemed to be just about enough parking spaces for the number of hotel rooms, although one evening we did have to park near to the reception area, rather than next to our building.

In all, this is a decent, clean place to stay if you don’t want to pay the high price of many of the other hotels in Springdale. Sure, it is not perfect, and is far from luxurious. But weighing up price versus quality, and considering how long we actually spent in the room, I think I would choose this place again. I would probably pay the extra $10 or so for the patio again, just because it is nice to have somewhere to sit and read for a while. But anybody wanting peace and quiet might like to ask for a room further away from the building’s front door and ice machine.

We arrived thinking what is this place an RV park? We found out that they had about 6 rooms above the other building serving the RV park. The air conditioning was Ok but seemed to go to auto mode after 10:00 PM and not as cool.

There was a porch in front of the rooms shared by all to see the Cliffs. Nice in morning if there are some clouds which turn purple.

The real advantage is the near location to free buses to Park which has it's own bus service which also free. We walked to that entrance which is about .4 of mile.

The breakfast was typical fare and nothing special. Staff at desk are only there during the day and not at night so get the emergency phone number if you think you may need it.

Bottom line is that I would try another motel/hotel next time.

Room Tip: Since there is a porch on 2nd floor for all rooms, choose a middle one (I think ours was 209) and ge...

The outstanding feature of this hotel/motel is its proximity to the National Park entrance. The park entrance is two minutes on the free park shuttle bus (but stop immediately outside the hotel), or alternatively a 10 minute walk away on a level road. This is really convenient, especially if you want to make an early start in the park.

Our room was very clean and perfectly good, given that you've likely come here to spend time in the national park rather than in your hotel room. The furniture was quite shabby and battered, with a rather dated feel, which suggested to me that no investments have been made in the rooms for quite some time. Although it wasn't too hot when we were in Springdale, the air conditioner worked fine and was not noisy. I found the shower to be a poor design, specifically the shower head was way too low for anyone taller than about 6' and the shower head height could not be altered.

A free breakfast was provided that can be taken in either the breakfast room or (better) on the terrace outside the breakfast room. The selection of items was okay, with enough hot and cold items to satisfy most people.

Overall, I feel that the quality of room was poor relative to the price paid, and so the hotel is fairly poor value. Although its location is very convenient, the free shuttle bus that runs right through Moab and hotels further away may offer better facilities whilst retaining easy shuttle bus access to the National Park.

Note there are two Quality Inn branded hotels in Springdale. This one is closer to the park entrance.
