I don't know why people are complaining! My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights, Thanksgiving Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I could not be more delighted. It was completely booked, being a holiday weekend, but you wouldn't know it. It was very quiet. I did hear an occasional toilet flush, but so what? Our room was clean and fresh. Housekeeping came and went so quietly, and were very courteous. The bathroom was a nice size, and I loved the showerhead! Way up high like a rainfall, not in the middle of your head like some other places. The staff were excellent! So nice and friendly. As far as breakfast - it is advertised as a Continental Breakfast. People forget what that means, which is a drink and a pastry. There were 4 kinds of cereal, eggs, fruit, donuts, bagels, toast, juices, milk, hot coffee and hot chocolate, as well as a few other things. That goes above the meaning of continental to me.

I will definately stay there again.

I have to agree to what the last 2 reviewers said and if I had not been already booked on the motel and on my journey, I would have cancelled. What they tell is the truth, especially about the breakfast.

Springdale is a small village adjacent to Zion National Park. Driving up Main Street to the Park you find some nice colourfull shops, some Lodges/ Inns/ Motels and a few restaurants (that I find are upscale in price).
Close to the park entrance you will find Quality Inn and it’s RV-Park. The surrounding – red rocks and mountains – is breathtaking. The inn itself is not... It’s just a basic motel of the lower scale and I have to downscale it for it’s noisy rooms, but read on...

Outside the buildings with the rooms, the lobby, a shop, the laundry and some facilities for the campers there is plenty of space for parking cars and RVs and there are many picnic places throughout the place.
You will find some nice sunny places with tables and chairs to relax, some nicely landscaped spots and you always view those pitturesque red rocks around.
It is walking distance to the Spotted Dog Cafe and Restaurant on the other side of the street. They serve very fine food but prices were higher than usual. Traffic was light so we did never get disturbed by traffic noises and there was no problem walking along Springdale’s streets.

The motel lobby is divided into 2 rooms, in the first one you find some nice sofas and there is one computer with internet access you have to pay for. In the second room you find the counter and a small breakfast area with uncomfortable chairs. This place does not look inviting. The aluminium chairs are uncomfortable, the old worn out floor looks terrible. For breakfast they serve bagles, toast, cereals, boiled eggs, some fruit. Butter and creamcheese is not packed, you have to take it from a bowl. They have juices in tiny packages and 2 sorts of coffee and hot chocolate as well.

Adjacent to the lobby you will find a small store with a good range of food and drinks, which closes in the early evening and opens early in the morning. They also sell souvenirs.

Staff was very friendly and invitingly and check in (prebooked room) was very fast. Probably family business. Nevertheless – 77 plus tax is a lot of money for such a basic room. We were shown to the rooms – that are in two separate complexes, each complex with about 20 rooms on 2 floors. We were in complex B that is adjacent to the tiny swimmingpool and concrete pool area – no plants there. Nevertheless it was too cool for swimming (end of October), the pool was not in use.

Some of the rooms on 1st floor have balcony doors to a tiny veranda with 1 or 2 chairs (dirty ones), some in complex A even have a small beautiful landscaped garden with their veranda. We got a room at the one end of house B with a window you can open. Nice to get some fresh air into the room, and the mosquito net on the window prevents insects from flying in.
Both houses have indoor corridors with entrance doors to be opened with your room key for safety reason. You’ll find a vending machine and ice on one end of the corridor.

The rooms are normal size, not too small. But the furniture is really basic. You get a small round table and 2 chairs, 2 beds, a built into the wall rack for the clothes and the usual TV-furniture with 3 drawers under the TV. The rooms are decorated in green and brown, with dark green carpets that I did not like from the first moment. Even 2 pictures on the wall did not bring any colour into the room. They should use more and colourful pictures!
But I have to admit that the room was clean though it had a strong chemical odour.
As a plus we got a fridge (noisy when cooling) and a microwave, but no ironing equipment. With only one small window the room was dark. But it had 5 lamps to light it well. There is no internet access in the room, but we got a telephone and an alarm clock.

Bathroom seems to be newly refurbished and looked clean and nice, though a bit small. We had a tub with shower, hairdryer, a coffee machine and you get the usual stuff like conditioner, soap and shampoo for your convenience. The toilet did work very well – like those in the airplanes – with high pressure. We got enough fluffy towels and one can get some extra if you want to go to the pool.

Why I want to downscale this motel is the basic rooms and the noise. Walls are thin and one hears people talking in adjacent rooms and every step from above rooms. Doors are heavy and close with a loud bang. People love to slamm their doors when in motels with inroom corridors and it’s like a game – who is the loudest. Do they do that at home as well? We heard every step from the corridors and even every noise from the ice machine though it was on the other end of the corridor. As worse as those slammed doors were bathroom and water noises. You hear every toilet flush from around and if someone turns on water the pipes are roaring like lions. It will certainly prevent you from sleeping for hours, until the last one gets to sleep.
This is the reason why I will never recommend this motel for any nights stay!

We found the adjacent room noise unacceptable with TV and bathroom sounds.

This was nothing special, basic but clean and good location. Shuttles pull up outside and the Park entrance only half a mile away.

The free transport is great, we did not use the car at all.

If you visit the awesome Zion Canyon National Park in Zion, Utah, you should run -- not walk -- from the Quality Inn! We made the mistake of making reservations via telephone because we had stayed in Choice Hotel units for many years. Believe me, this Quality Inn is not typical!!!!! First, the motel buildings are located in an RV park!! The office situation where we checked in was not inviting for sure but we had made reservations for two nights which were not refundable so........ We drove down to the building where our room was located and the "lovely" entrance to the building was a chain-linked children's playground area. When I say "entrance" I mean "entrance." Hummmmmmmm! The bath was very clean, the unpleasant odors of the units stayed with us in spite of the air conditioning (Take a scented candle or some good room spray if you decide not to heed my warning!), and the sofa was stained (didn't bother me because I wasn't about to sit on it.). BUT, it was the breakfast offerings that put this motel at the top of my "do not dare go there" list. The breakfast area was terrible....stained concrete floors (not stained as in the elegant concrete stains found in decorator magazines but stained as in spills and whatevers) and the walls, etc. looked as if they planned to do some repair/updating in the future. If you wanted peanut butter on your English muffin, just dig in the jar!!! Yes, there was a jar of peanut butter where you and all your other new friends could dig in. If you wanted some butter (or maybe it was margarine....have no idea what it really was), just dig out a blob from the big bowl of whatever and smear it on your toast. The best thing about the Quality in Zion is that I had no problem keeping within my diet guidelines! If you haven't been to Zion, I urge you to go. It's beautiful and the Spotted Dog Restaurant just across the street is great. It's a beautiful restaurant with a cutesy name along with wonderful food to be enjoyed as you look out on an awesome view. And, there are some very nice motels!!!!!!

I stayed at the Quality Inn Zion Park for one night with family during a trip to see the National Parks in southern Utah. This Quality Inn has an RV park and campground in the back. The rooms are in several buildings behind the main office building. The rooms were clean however they were smaller than usual with very tiny bathrooms. The staff are professional but not cordial. The pool rules are obsurd but it was too cool to swim anyway. There is a small store associated with the inn for last minute necessities. The Quality Inn is located close to Zion National Park entrance but too far to walk. The only problem we had was that the bathrooms are very noisy from water running in the adjacent bathrooms with very noisy flush toilets. Not usually a problem unless you are traveling with small children that are kept awake by these things. The breakfast was very minimal with only cold cereal and stale pastries. The room rate was not a bargain and was quite high for the Quality Inn. This hotel is just fine but for a comparable price you can stay elsewhere in Springdale and have a better experience. The views of the mountains in the back of the property were very nice. I wouldn't stay here again unless everything else was booked.

Stayed for one night. Room was typical motel room, nothing fancy but adequate. We had a refridgerator in the room which was useful for freezing the ice-packs. I would agree with some other comments that the owner was not all that friendly, nothing specific, he could just do with brushing up on his customer service skills. Breakfast was OK, didn't see any waffles, but cereals and juice and toast and doughnuts, more variety than some motels. The location is the main thing, being so close to Zion. There are a number of motels in the immediate area to choose from.

Stayed here 2 nights and found room to be big, comfortable, clean with microwave, refrigerator, and hair dryer. A wonderful view of Zion from our room. Motel is close to shuttle. Also, not much of a walk to Zion if you prefer to walk and not take the shuttle. Motel convenient to downtown. Only problem with this Motel is the breakfast room. It is much too small.........definitely not enough seating. Only had one toaster and really need to have another because I waited and waited for the toaster to be free and findly gave up and ate my bagel as is .........which was stale. Also, I think the donuts were also a few days old. Never saw any waffles as others on this site have mentioned.........
