“What you see is what you get”

These nights didn't cost us much. It was fine. It was clean which was my #1 priority. There weren't any frills except the pool which my 8 year old enjoyed. It wasn't fancy and the beds weren't very firm, but everything worked like it should. We had a two bedroom unit, but not the remodeled one. There was no A/C in the second bedroom, but even in August I didn't need it. They had coffee in the office in the morning, but we were always in the park early and never took the time. Thought it was interesting that Springdale closes up early in the evening (the restaurant we had dinner at closed at 9pm) and we had to look for some place that opened for breakfast before 8am.

My family and I stayed in a recently rennovated two room family suite. The rooms were nice but there were no extras (refrigerator, microwave). There also was only one TV and that was in the room with the two beds so once the kids were asleep we could not watch TV in our room. The beds had very firm mattresses, (to firm for my liking). The pool was small with a max compacity of 8 but was really nice on the record breaking hot days. Overall a average motel for a average price. While there we spent little time in the Lodge so is was worth the money.

Our family reserved two adjoining rooms at Terrace Brook in mid-May 2005 and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were somewhat older, but very clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance to restaurants, gift shops, library (to use internet service), and the Zion bus shuttle. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Zion.

We stayed here in a family two-room suite in May 2004. The suite was very modest, as is the property itself. The room was clean and comfortable. The walls were painted cinderblock. We were able to rent a small refrigerator for an extra I think $4 a day. The owners or managers were friendly. There is a small lawn out front with a picnic table where one could eat, although the highway goes right by and it's a bit noisy. The parking lot was only a few feet from our room, which was convenient for loading and unloading all our junk. My only complaint was that the motel had advertised a swimming pool that was "solar heated" and the water was positively frigid in May. My two kids were deeply disappointed because it was too cold to swim, even though the days were 80 degrees. Other than that, it was a good choice and quite economical. Also easy walking to shops and restaurants. I would stay here again, though next time I will be staying at a place with a HEATED pool! Springdale is definitely the best place to stay while visiting Zion and hotels aren't cheap here.

Well, did you ever travel with your folks and stay in a motel in the fifties? If you did, your stay at the Terrace Brook Lodge will bring back some fond memories.

The location is great. You can walk into the around the town area and take in the sites of this quaint little tourist town. If you are hungry its only a block to the "Pizza Noodle". Lots of micro brew with pizza and pasta.

About the room. We stayed on the lower level. The rooms were constructed of cinder block and painted inside with some pictures on the wall. Had a window a/c for the cooling and a wall furnace for the heat. The room was very clean and the tv had cable. The view from our room was a line of shubery which was planted along the sidewalk. The upper level rooms have a view of the mountain across the street, but what the hey, when going to Zion, you will have great views all day long.

We are not hard to please. and if and when we return to that area, we would stay at Terrace Brook in a heart beat. Great Value for a place to sleep.

I have stayed at Terrace Brook Lodge during my last four times while visiting the Zion National Park. Hope to stay there again on my next trip in September (2003). The price is the lowest in the area, the rooms are simple but comfortable, and the owner/managers have always been very nice to me - even when I lost the room key (in the Zion Narrows). If given a choice, I would recommend staying on the lower level, near the street. These rooms there are somewhat nicer than the ones on the hill.
