“A more upscale restaurant in Springdale”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

Many of the rwtwurqntw in Springdale are more casual, with fairly predictable menus, but the Spotted Dog , while advertised as casual dining, has a more upscale feel and decor for this gateway town to Zion National Park, with prices to match. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing, and there are two larger indoor dining areas as well as a front outdoor patio( facing the street) and a side patio ( off the parking lot) that is charmingly lit with overhead strings of lights. The service was extremely attentive ( even a bit hovering). The wine list is extensive in both variety and selection as well as portions( small glass, reg glass, half carafe and full bottles). The food ( game meatloaf and pesto pasta) was good, quinoa burger was dry ( though havent found one that isnt yet). Not many items on the menu were particularly unique, but the atmosphere and service were excellent.

“Great Meal at the Spotted Dog”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

After hiking 6 hours in nearby Zion National Park, we had a very good meal at the Spotted Dog Cafe. The seating permitted views of Zion's mountains. My meal (Shrimp with asparagus over pasta) was superb, with a fantastic white sauce. My wife's meal (Southwestern Chicken over rice) was equally outstanding. The rice had a deep southwestern smoke to it and the crunchiness of some of the rice made it even more delightful.

“Great”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 September 2014

We loved this place, sat out on the balcony overlooking the majestic cliffs and watched the sunset. The food was delicious, well priced and the wine list was extensive. Great as I didn't have any luck finding any restaurants serving wine in Bryce Canyon. Would definetly recommend

Were met with a smile the minute we walked in. Had a short wait and then were brought to our table. A delightful wine selection, very good food, excellent service.

“Nice Post-Hike Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 September 2014

I can't exactly explain why this wasn't 5 stars, but it was really good. not incredible, but really good. Overall, both the service and food was great. We sat outside and had an excellent experience. The menu is varied and is reasonably priced for what you get and where you are. In fact, I think the menu would actually be higher-priced in many urban areas (We are from Philly, and I think it would be about 25% more expensive here). We had the lamb shank and the veggie burger; both were delicious. And the flat-bread type tortilla bread they give you prior to your meal is really tasty.

Great views and good food. What else can you ask for?
