Many of the rwtwurqntw in Springdale are more casual, with fairly predictable menus, but the Spotted Dog , while advertised as casual dining, has a more upscale feel and decor for this gateway town to Zion National Park, with prices to match. The ambiance is quiet and relaxing, and there are two larger indoor dining areas as well as a front outdoor patio( facing the street) and a side patio ( off the parking lot) that is charmingly lit with overhead strings of lights. The service was extremely attentive ( even a bit hovering). The wine list is extensive in both variety and selection as well as portions( small glass, reg glass, half carafe and full bottles). The food ( game meatloaf and pesto pasta) was good, quinoa burger was dry ( though havent found one that isnt yet). Not many items on the menu were particularly unique, but the atmosphere and service were excellent.
