“Little Slice of Heaven”
Reviewed 15 September 2011

Our family stayed here the first 2 nights of our 7 night road trip vacation. We were thrilled with our room especially how clean and new it was. We stayed in the one bedroom river front room. It had a lovely patio to watch the sun rise through the valley, you could hear the river in the evening, and it was just a short stroll to the entrance of the park. We loved how roomy it was-the bathroom was large, the bedroom was quiet and cool. A ceiling fan and strong A/C was a welcome reprieve from the heat of the canyon. The bed was awesome too-fluffy and crisp white sheets-awe, so relaxing! It was so nice to have the space of the living room and kitchen. We brought quite a bit of our own food to make lunch and breakfast with. We definitely were very comfortable in this room. We were so sad to leave after just two nights. It was a little pricey for our week vacation but well worth the cost. I am kind of a hotel snob-very particular about cleanliness-I clorox wipe the handles of everything in the room and never walk without flip flops inside-but this room exceeded my expectations. The grounds are gorgeous, the pool is perfect to cool off in, location superb, literally 175 steps from the park entrance ( we counted one day to pass the time as our feet were killing us after the narrows hike) -you can even hop on the little trolley to take you to nearby restaurants. You don't ever have to move your car once you arrive. The front staff was super welcoming and helpful. Also--free ice from the machine and access to a laundry room for those that may be staying longer. We definitely will be back. It was a perfect choice!

Room Tip: river front suites rock!

We stayed 3 nights end of June/early July. Great location to Zion, lovely accomodations. Room had a mini fridge, coffee maker, sofa, TV and patio. Nice pool area (often packed) and views of Zion mountains. Breakfast/lunch place right next door for convenience but we stopped in Hurricane and got some food before arriving in Springdale. We walked to the park each day, hotel was also w/n walking distance to Zion Adventure Co. Coffee/tea available in the hotel lobby too. I will stay here again if I am lucky enough to get back to Zion. Still so much more to explore.

We stayed here for three nights and highly recommend it. This is our fourth trip to Zion and our favorite of all the places we've stayed - this will definitely be the place we stay in the future. We were in room 150; spectacular views, nice little terrace to sit out in the evening. On our third night there, a couple of foxes walked right past us. The gardens and pool area are lovely.

Couldn't be more convenient for the park and Cafe Soleil is a gem, as is the Spotted Dog, which is also walking distance.

Stayed here one night after our visit to Zion NP and our hike through the Narrows. Nice little place, right outside the entrance to Zion, with a Zion shuttle stop in front of the hotel. No breakfast was included, but there's a few places down the road. The lodge sits at the base of the mountains in Zion and there is a beautiful garden behind the lodge. Peaceful. It was clean and close to Zion. I would return here again. Basic and suited our needs for a nice place to stay for one night.

The Cliffrose next to the entrance of Zion, was our second stop on our 'American Adventure' to see a number of National Parks between Las Vegas and San Francisco. What a lovely hotel! We booked a deluxe room online and were not disappointed - Private balcony, kingsized bed, lounge, flatscreen tv, spectacular views of the canyon and the Virgin River. The gardens are delightful, full of colour and hummingbirds, as well as the pool and hot tub facilities. Restaurants around were good value and service. Next door Cafe Soleil provides a welcoming breakfast before exploring the area. All in all, a great find. Would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Corner rooms with balcony and canyon views are worth the extra

We had a great stay the two nights we spent at this lodge. Not only does it have spectacular views of the canyon in its' backyard, but it is within walking distance to the entrance of Zion National Park and the Cafe Soleil, which we utilized each morning for coffee and breakfast.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Ours was a smaller room, but suited us just fine. I had hoped to see the hummingbirds, but it was September when we stayed and they had probably moved on. The gardens are a delight and the pool and hot tub so refreshing after a long day of hiking at the park. We would stay again and hope to soon!

The bed was super comfortable - which is definitely a big priority. The room (#130) had a large wall-mounted flat screen TV, big comfy chair for two and pretty dark wood furniture. We had a really large private deck, with a patio table and chairs, It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy our surroundings, including a nice view of Zion. I would stay here again, but I did find two things I wasn't crazy about. One was the cold water was warm and the hot water was sort of hot, but not really hot enough. The other was there is a section above the tub in the bathroom that has no wall, just california shutters. It provides no sound barrier, so whatever you are doing in the bathroom is going to be heard loud and clear by your room mate. Again, I would still stay here, I would just recommend you run the tap while you're in there, to provide a bit of privacy.
