We recently enjoyed a couple of very pleasant nights with Cliffrose Lodge. While we booked a a room, the staff upgraded us upon arrival to a better room - with a wonderful view of The Watchman and Zion National Park. We were extremely comfortable in our room and slept like babies. It was very nice to have the kitchen facilities there, too, and grocery store is just a five-minute walk away. Zion NP is in the same direction and you can be at the Visitors Center in five to ten minutes.

Our children most loved the pool and the hot tub came in handy after a tough hike up Angel's Landing.

Enjoy it for yourself and thank you to everyone at the Cliffrose Lodge!

Great location at the main entrance to Zion. Close enough to walk into the park and avoid the line of cars. You pick the in park shuttle up near where you will walk in. Great views from our room. Balcony (Room 130) was amazing. Our stay was not all we had hoped, but my review is based on the Cliffrose Lodges response to my experience. They have a major expansion/renovation going on which negatively impacted our stay. Noise, dust, dirt and limited access to parking impacted our stay. When I expressed by disappointment in our experience, the management went above and beyond to compensate me for my troubles. They had weather delays in the completion of their expansion and had to honor existing reservations. They made no excuses, and did everything they could make me feel like a valued customer. Its not about if thing will go wrong, its about how you respond to them when they do. The management at Cliffrose lodge "gets it". I would not hesitate at all staying with them again if back in Zion. (The expansion is close to being completed, but I would call and ask)

We spent the better part of our spring break exploring Zion and stayed at Cliffrose Lodge. We absolutely loved the accommodations and experience; perfect for our family of 5. They are wrapping up renovations and this place will only get better! The proximity to the park, location on the river, pool and surrounding flora/fauna were the highlights. Oh yes, as the staff was extremely accommodating and we can't thank them enough. My recommendation is to consider the Riverside suites/villas, as they provide a bit more privacy, but still easy access to the pool and other part of the resort. We can't wait to go back...and definitely recommend to others contemplating exploring this wonderful area.

Room Tip: Worth it to consider the Riverside suites/rooms.

Super close to the park entrance. Very Clean and comfortable updated suite with outstanding staff. There was some work being done on the property grounds but that should be completed soon. The work did not interfere with the heated pool or Jacuzzi (open 24x7) and noise from guests using facilities not heard in the room. Mini fridge a bonus. Balcony light stayed on all night but view of Zion still great. The free breakfast at the bistro next door was amazing!

Room Tip: Rooms near 103 have a partial view only but still nice.

We recently stayed at the Cliffrose and it was a wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and helpful, even remembering my husband by first name. The suite was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The river was close by and beautiful views everywhere. There was some construction going on but you can tell that they have worked to keep it from being too disruptive to the guests and the atmosphere. It was also nice to see equipment for children to play on. This is a nice place for couples as well as families.

- perfect location to park entrance
- kudos to Dash at front desk who upgraded us to suite #43
- great trip planning help from Stephanie who directed us to perfect highlights in the area to hit
- loved our housekeeper, sorry do not know her name
- best of luck with the gorgeous new front desk ...... Beautiful design! Very welcoming and inviting! Perfect entrance to a great view!
- highly suggest rooms down away from front street parking. They have a great private view to the cliffs
- Our trip included several excursions. Ones I suggest:
1. In Zion hike Angels Landing (hard but worth it hike)
2. Also in Zion is The Narrows ( rough river rock hike def do with dry suite). We went in March so water was about 38 degrees
3. Bryce park is only 2 hrs away. Highly recommend Queens Trail/Navajo Trail. Steep, but cool!!!!!!! Be sure to go clockwise when doing the loop.
4. We flew in and out of Vegas and spent a few hrs there before drive to Zion, which was about 2 1/2 hrs. We rented car with Budget.
Great places to eat all within 5-10 mins from lodge.
Overall, a perfect trip. Other than aches and pains, it was wonderful! Be sure to check for $75 off and gas card offer for Cliffrose that they may be offering through Tripadvisor, however, gas card can only be used at a Maverick station. We did not know that and lost the$25.
Thank you, Cliffrose!!! ~ angela

Room Tip: We loved our room in the back #43. Private with a great balcony

With a warmer than normal President's Holiday weekend, I tried out the Cliff Rose for a quick getaway. I booked on their website for a regular double queen room with a balcony, river view.

When I arrived, the lodge was under major construction, something that was not mentioned until check in, not on the web site. Parts of their grounds and the driveway/parking were a real mess and I was told the construction would not continue over the weekend, but some did. Banging and hammering.

Anyway, I was given a large discount off the room price, which was very fair. The staff were helpful and polite.

The room was a very typical, old motel type layout - meaning dark. My room was in one of the older buildings. Some newer buildings have the suites. The rooms had been very nicely remodeled with quite high end finishes, nice bed linens, furniture, granite countertops in the bath. A microwave and small refrigerator, hairdryer, pool towels and robes, coffee maker, flat screen. Very comfortable and quiet.

The grounds were not very nice in the winter and I would love to return and check them out in the spring, summer, or fall when Zion is much nicer.
