“FANTASTIC ON ALL ACCOUNTS!”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

My husband and sent last night at Cliffrose Lodge visiting Zion National Park and I can't praise this hotel enough! We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome by the General Manager, three hours before check in but our room was ready so we were allowed access early. The accommodation was large, extremely comfortable, with lovely bathroom facilities (marble tiling, huge bath, separate shower and his n hers basins). Luxurious towels and bed linen was provided and lots of attention to detail to satisfy the fussiest of guests. The setting was mind blowing; a 5 minute walk to the gate of Zion Park (great to be able to leave the car - you can't use it in the Canyon anyway) surrounded by the mountains and set next to the Virgin River in immaculate gardens with a pool and hot tub, it really was idyllic. This is a class establishment, with exceptional service and attention to detail- humming bird feeder on our porch is a first, they were amazing to watch - And perfectly located for the Park and Springdale which is a lovely town with great shops and restaurants. I can't praise this hotel enough - we're going back to Zion for a longer visit next year and we won't stay anywhere else, it was superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a river facing room - there are ground and first floor options

This place is great. It is right on the Virgin River 200 yards to the entrance of the park. The room we had was average insofar as luxury goes, but hey, you are at a National Park! I recommend getting a river room, and bottom floor so you can walk out on the lawn to the river or to the entrance of the park. Upstairs rooms, well, are upstairs meaning you have to go down stairs to get anywhere. Beautiful views from the room, river was lovely, the grounds were lovey and the on site cafe/restaurant was convenient and quite good. And the price is right. The suites looked really nice. Big patio and lots of room, but a wee bit expensive... Would return should we head back to Zion..

Room Tip: Bottom level, river room building.

Close your eyes and imagine the perfect place to stay. Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens will fulfill that dream. The staff will treat you like family. They acknowledge you as an individual ... not just some random person renting a room. Their sense of humor lights up the office. Once you meet the staff ... continue on to your room. The rooms are spotless. No problems there! Now, look out your window or go outside. The grounds are filled with gardens ... down toward the river is a pool with a jacuzzi ... now look up. OMGosh! The view of the mountains is awesome! You can sit by a fire, or on your patio and get lost in the gorgeous views. It may be difficult to leave the lodge ... but force yourself. Just a short walk away is the entrance to Zion National Park. Have a fun day hiking and touring the park. The shuttle makes numerous stops where you will get out and do easy or difficult hikes. Ok, you are a little tired ... go back to Cliffrose (just like going home) ... relax and continue to enjoy the scenery, the atmosphere, the people. You've been there for a few days ... it is time to leave. The one thing I knew for sure ... when I was preparing to leave ... I WILL BE COMING BACK ... IT IS AWESOME! Thank you Kurtis ... Kara ... and everyone else at Cliffrose for making this trip perfection :-) QOE

This place is within an easy walk to the entrance to Zion National Park. We parked our car when we arrived, and didn't have to use it until we left. The staff here is friendly, and helpful. Our one bedroom suite has a river, and mountain view. The gardens here are beautiful. The kitchen has everything needed to prepare meals. We also loved watching the two friendly cats in residence.

We stayed at the Cliffrose Lodge April 26 – 30, 2014.

The Cliffrose Lodge was the perfect place for the two of us and, judging by the variety of people and family groups, probably the perfect place for anyone coming to visit Zion National Park who wants to stay in a hotel rather than camping.
We had a first floor “River View Room”, although with spectacular vistas in every direction, you can’t go wrong. Our room had a patio with a table and chairs and a very busy hummingbird feeder that was refilled every day. We looked onto the gardens with spectacular fancy irises and other flowers. It’s obvious that there is great pride and effort taken in keeping the grounds beautiful. A little beyond the gardens was the Virgin River with a sand beach and chairs. On a couple evenings we sat out and watched the sunset on the cliffs. Another evening we walked over to the Zion campsite for the Ranger’s program at the Watchman Campground Amphitheater.

The location of the Cliffrose Lodge couldn't be more convenient. It’s a quick walk over to the Zion National Park entrance, Visitors’ Center and the shuttle buses that go up and down the canyons. There are restaurants next door, across the street, a short walk or via the free Springdale shuttle.

The desk staff people are very enthusiastic, personable and accommodating. Having all grown up in the area, they have the answers to any questions you might ask about where to hike, eat or shop. There is coffee and tea available all day, and we were told they are adding a little café in the near future.

Our room came equipped with a coffeemaker, a small refrigerator and a microwave but I do not know if that is standard in every room.
I was impressed with the generous supply of thick towels, both in the bathroom and for the pool and spa.

My one and only complaint is that the lighting in the room was poor. The floor lamps didn't give off much light and the writing desk did not have a lamp on it. Other than that, I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Zion.

Lovely setting in Springdale among a garden along the river--and of course the peaks dominate the skyline. Rooms are modern, clean, spacious, and well equipped. They have a pool and hot tub, but we did not try either. It's an easy walk to both the Springdale and Zion Park shuttles, which is a huge convenience. Hummingbirds worked the feeder outside our door to our delight.

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Zion NP. Great location! Very close to restaurants and shops in Springdale, and only a short walk to visitors center in Zion where you can catch a shuttle to anywhere in the park. The grounds are beautiful, complete with green grass, flower gardens, pool, hot tub and a river running behind property with sitting chairs. It seems that every room has a patio or deck with table and chairs. Our room was clean and comfortable with a large bathroom, mini fridge, and microwave. I would stay here again if we ever come back to the area.
