You cannot beat the location !! just outside the park, so you can walk there conveniently.

We staid there during our 3 weeks trip in the US in Summer 2013.

Our room was very comfortable, we had a balcony overlooking the gardens, where we ate at night.
The premices were beautiful. We took advantage of the pool, and the nice jaccuzzi with the fountain.
It was nice to relax in there after a day of hiking.
You can also do some barbecue if you like, a lot of families there.

It was a perfect stay for us.

Staff at reception made everything easy! This hotel is nicely set at the base of the Watchman Mountain of ZION. So you're greeted with a spectacular background to your room. The gardens were blooming with colorful irises. Check in was quick and easy. We originally had booked a riverside room but had to move due to a smoke issue that came into our room across from the Zion campgrounds. We were accommodated with a free upgrade to a much larger suite with an efficiency kitchen at the end of the property which worked out very well for us. It was comfortable, quiet and smoke-free. The pool area was close to the rooms and had a nice spa to soak your feet after a long day of hiking Angels Landing or The Narrows. Complimentary breakfast was provided by the Solar Cafe next door which had great breakfast items and brewed coffee. The rooms and pool area have FREE wifi. There is plenty of parking on the premises. You can walk into Zion from this hotel. Use the nice path along the river to enter the park by foot and leave your car parked. Use the transport within Zion park to get to all the hiking destinations. What a beautiful place.

Room Tip: If you book a RIVERSIDE room: Bottom rooms are dark. If you are smoke sensitive, like I am due to br...

The Cliffrose is the perfect complement to the Zion Park experience. Located only a couple hundred meters from the Park entrance and Visitor's Center, and right at the last Shuttle Bus stop before entering the part, it makes visiting the park so easy. Many of the rooms open out onto the Cliffrose lawn and gardens, and just beyond, a sand beach by the gurgling Virgin River which is provisioned with comfortable chairs for relaxing by the River after (or before) a strenuous day of hiking in the Park. The rooms are standard motel size, but clean and comfortable, and are furnished with a sofa. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Hard to imagine a better accommodation when visiting Zion.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a Riverside and ground floor room if available.

My husband and sent last night at Cliffrose Lodge visiting Zion National Park and I can't praise this hotel enough! We arrived to a warm and friendly welcome by the General Manager, three hours before check in but our room was ready so we were allowed access early. The accommodation was large, extremely comfortable, with lovely bathroom facilities (marble tiling, huge bath, separate shower and his n hers basins). Luxurious towels and bed linen was provided and lots of attention to detail to satisfy the fussiest of guests. The setting was mind blowing; a 5 minute walk to the gate of Zion Park (great to be able to leave the car - you can't use it in the Canyon anyway) surrounded by the mountains and set next to the Virgin River in immaculate gardens with a pool and hot tub, it really was idyllic. This is a class establishment, with exceptional service and attention to detail- humming bird feeder on our porch is a first, they were amazing to watch - And perfectly located for the Park and Springdale which is a lovely town with great shops and restaurants. I can't praise this hotel enough - we're going back to Zion for a longer visit next year and we won't stay anywhere else, it was superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a river facing room - there are ground and first floor options

This place is great. It is right on the Virgin River 200 yards to the entrance of the park. The room we had was average insofar as luxury goes, but hey, you are at a National Park! I recommend getting a river room, and bottom floor so you can walk out on the lawn to the river or to the entrance of the park. Upstairs rooms, well, are upstairs meaning you have to go down stairs to get anywhere. Beautiful views from the room, river was lovely, the grounds were lovey and the on site cafe/restaurant was convenient and quite good. And the price is right. The suites looked really nice. Big patio and lots of room, but a wee bit expensive... Would return should we head back to Zion..

Room Tip: Bottom level, river room building.

Close your eyes and imagine the perfect place to stay. Cliffrose Lodge & Gardens will fulfill that dream. The staff will treat you like family. They acknowledge you as an individual ... not just some random person renting a room. Their sense of humor lights up the office. Once you meet the staff ... continue on to your room. The rooms are spotless. No problems there! Now, look out your window or go outside. The grounds are filled with gardens ... down toward the river is a pool with a jacuzzi ... now look up. OMGosh! The view of the mountains is awesome! You can sit by a fire, or on your patio and get lost in the gorgeous views. It may be difficult to leave the lodge ... but force yourself. Just a short walk away is the entrance to Zion National Park. Have a fun day hiking and touring the park. The shuttle makes numerous stops where you will get out and do easy or difficult hikes. Ok, you are a little tired ... go back to Cliffrose (just like going home) ... relax and continue to enjoy the scenery, the atmosphere, the people. You've been there for a few days ... it is time to leave. The one thing I knew for sure ... when I was preparing to leave ... I WILL BE COMING BACK ... IT IS AWESOME! Thank you Kurtis ... Kara ... and everyone else at Cliffrose for making this trip perfection :-) QOE
