We could not get a better place than this one.

Few yards from the south entrance of the Park, the Cliffrose Lodge is a couple of small buildings off-side the main road, surrounded by a magnificient garden and with a breathtaking views of the rock cliffs and canyons.
It is conveniently located for all the main attraction and services you might need: the small village center can be reached within few minutes walking or getting on the free shuttle which stops right in front the hotel. Going the other direction, you can reach another small village having a market, a large cinema, few shops and the main stop of the shuttle which is riding up&down the park. When you lock your car, you can forget you have it.

The room we were given (28) is in the bulding which is the closest to the river; neverthless, it is not noisy at all, and you can enjoy the contrast between the blue water and the red/orange cliff of the rocks. That room was very large and confortable: a living room completely separated by the sleeping room, featured a large sofa, a small table, a couple of armchairs, a and a nice DVD reader. Free wi-fi in all rooms, which are also equipped with fridge and microwave, coffee maker machine, a second wide flat screen TV in front of the bed and some other amenities.

The front-desk guy who welcomed us has been extremely polite, trying to fit all our needs and taking care of us even along our stay, ensuring everything run positively.
Do NOT miss the swimming pool and the Spa: you can laid back in the bubbles, feeding your eyes with charming colours and relaxing view.

If you are lucky, as we have been, you can meet some young fawns and deers browse on the swimming pool garden (see my pictures!)

A most convenient location! It is a short walk to the Zion Park Visitors Center and the park entrance. Our room had a balcony that overlooked a well maintained garden which was visited throughout the day by colorful butterflys and hummingbirds. It was wonderfully relaxing to come here in the evenings after spending the days in the park, and sit on the balcony to watch the cliffs change colors (see my pictures).

The location of this lodge to the park is sufficient reason for you to select this place as your base when visiting Zion National Park. While everyone lines up for the bus and then crams into the bus to get to town, you can just walk back to your room.

The rooms are reasonably clean, the staff friendly, and they have an interesting line of minty soaps and shampoos. And in a hot place like Zion in summer, it is truly welcome.

Don't get sold on the view, because I think the view is just as good from any other motel.

The room I got has a balcony, but the hot air from the air conditioner, made it impossible to sit out on there.

The other complaint I have is that the sheets seemed a bit worn out, so it was rough. But other than that, everything was satisfactory.

Wireless internet was good.

Our stay at Cliffrose was great. Real clean rooms, awesome pool with a great view of The Watchman. We walked into Zion each day. The gardens at the lodge are beautiful and lots of hummingbirds. I would recommend anyone to stay here, and they were building an additional building that looked near completion, so business must be good.

We absolutely loved the location and setting of the Cliffrose. The red cliffs rising up behind the hotel made a stunning backdrop for our breakfasts, which we just had to eat outdoors (there are several picnic tables around the property). The gardens were lovely and felt like an oasis in this dry climate. The hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of the entrance of the park; alternatively there's free shuttle service to the park and the stop is right outside the property. (We did choose to drive to the park each day. Parking is limited but you should have no trouble finding a spot if you arrive before 10 AM.)

We stayed in a Canyon View room with our two children. There was a separate bedroom for me and my husband, and the kids enjoyed sleeping separately on the futon and Murphy beds in the living room. There was a complete kitchen (no dishwasher, but maid service seemed to take care of our dirty things) with a small refrigerator, and an extremely spacious bathroom. Everything was extremely clean and seemed new. My only two minor complaints was that the bedding was coarse and there were no nightstands next to the bed in the bedroom.

My only real complaint with the property was the lack of soundproofing, and this complaint may only apply to the Canyon View rooms which seemed to be in a separate building from the ordinary motel rooms. Our neighbors, which changed over the course of our stay, were never unreasonably loud, but it seemed that any sound they made was actually amplified in our room. At one point there was a parent comforting a crying baby next door and the sound was so absurdly loud and crystal clear that my husband -- and this seems silly now -- actually got out of bed to check to make sure somebody hadn't entered our hotel room! The noise was kind of a downer at this otherwise lovely facility because it really interfered with our ability to get a good night's sleep.

A wonderful stay. The location next to Zion Park cannot be beat. The rooms were nice and quiet. The gardens were nice, but we enjoyed going down to the beach area by the river and sitting on a rock with our feet in the water to relax after a hot day hiking in the park. The cliffs were beautiful to watch as the sun set. The staff was friendly and helpful. We want to return to Zion and would definitely want to stay here again.

The Best Western is a better bang for the buck, if that's what you are looking for. However, the Cliffrose does offer things besides a wonderful room that you need to know about. 1. You can walk to Zion Park entrance and that is a huge thing. 2. Their garden is a significant plus, if you like ambiance. If you are going to Zion I assume you care about that.
Now some may say they want to actually stay in the Park. It's hard to argue against that unless you are motivated by meals. If you are in Zion just for a night, stay in the National Park Lodge for sure, but after a short time that federal dining room and cafe may get old and you may not want to drive 15 minutes into town to get a sandwich. Small resort towns are kind of fun you know. We liked the Cliffrose very much.
