This property is literally stunning. We had a riverside room on the first floor, and from our bedroom the door opened out onto a private patio with the most incredible view- a beautiful, lush lawn leading down to the Virgin River, all of it surrounded by flowers, trees and the gorgeous red cliffs of Zion. I was literally kicking myself for not booking another night here. Needless to say, we really enjoyed our stay here.

The room itself was very nice and up-to-date. The toilet and shower are in a separate room across from the bathroom counter/sink, which is outside and faces the bed. The bathroom space is pretty small and could use a few more hooks for hanging things. There’s a large fridge, 2 flats screen TVs, and lots of drawer space.

But it’s really the grounds and the location that make this place special. We had deer wandering on the lawn both nights that we stayed, and a friendly resident cat named Charlie (or possibly Shadow) came by to test out our laps. There are two outdoor heated pools, one of them open 24/7 (very clean, with showers). Best of all is how close it is to Zion National Park: we just walked from our patio down to the paved walkway by the river, and from there it was maybe a 5 minute walk to the Visitor Center.

Overall this was my favorite hotel on our trip.

Hotel is very conveniently located just steps from the park entrance, eliminating the need to wait for and take the Springdale shuttle. Very beautiful views from the room balcony and the hotel terrace. Rooms are basic and the bathroom toiletries limited and ok quality. Avoid rooms 101, 106, 116 and pretty much all those with entry from the street- they can get noisy. I haven't used any of the 2 swimming pools- we passed by both on the way to the park- one was always taken by a family with screaming kids. I can't say much about the management as I haven't really encountered anybody during the 3 night stay there. There's a looong way to becoming a 5 star hotel.

We stayed at the Cliffrose in April 2018. The property was finishing a remodel at that time. They were a bit behind and the rooms we booked were not available. Management went above and beyond expectations to ensure we had a wonderful visit. They moved us to a better room, provided discounts, etc...amazing customer service. We ended up in a newly remodeled suite which was fantastic. In addition, there is no better location for Zion National Park. You can walk to the gate and transit center. I highly recommend Cliffrose for the property and the management team that runs it. A+++. We will without question stay again on our next visit. Thank you Cliffrose Lodge!

Whislt the location is naturally stunning, this hotel pops out of nowhere and is just nestled off the highway.
Helpful reception staff and allocated a stunning room close by (these are in blocks) with own outside space
Room is large in classic design with modern bathroom.
Recommend eating there too - excellent staff and even a simple burger & fries was delicioous.
Breakfast stands out as the best on tour - take your time and enjoy the choice to eat outside your room or on picnic tables enjoying the stunning morning views.
An essential stopover location

We were wowed as soon as we stepped in the lobby. Very nice staff and housekeeping (extremely clean) and beautiful appointments. Very modern with industrial age accents. Fantastic view from our balcony looking at Mother Nature at her best including the Virgin River. Well thought out property!! Grounds very well-manicured. Only downside one afternoon of construction going on (which I totally understand, building more lodging). Walked to Zion National Park entrance. Didn’t use the car for dining either. Highly recommended!!
Also yes there are lots of hummingbirds and feeders as well as mule deer on the property! Enjoy!!
